Weapon Tuning update - June 3rd??

If the weapon tuning update comes out june 3rd then im really disappointed. I want the update as soon as possible. People are fleeing from the game every week and i dont understand why its taking so long.

I really dont want to want another 4 weeks but i know im gonna be forced to.

I seriously hope they surprise us and it comes out way before then. What do you guys think?

Updates are like baking. (From experience)

Creating it your self tastes the best.

Having someone make something special for you also tastes nice.

And at any moment in time if you try to rush the Baker you’ll just end up ruining his creation and disliking the produce.

what I’m saying is trying to rush something will just ruin the outcome and spoil the taste when it’s released.

In june it will be roughly 8 months that this game has been broken.

Im sorry to say but i am disappointed. Halo 2 by this time had like 2 or 3 game changing updates.

The baker had plenty of time to create his meal but in the end he over cooked his creation to where its edible but taste like cat food.

> The baker had plenty of time to create his meal but in the end he over cooked his creation to where its edible but taste like cat food.

First it was that the update was going to be “around” the first of the year. Then it was April, I believe. Now June. That cake aint burnt it’s nuked and tastes like failure. Have fun waiting. Now I am certain I will not be getting anything this studio makes, ever again.

Bravo and Quinn are going for perfection or at least as close as they can get it. I too am a little disappointed that we have to wait till June because I’m really looking forward to this update, but if its as good as its looking it’ll be worth it.

I think 343 should make a TU playlist so people play with the new settings and give 343 feedback before June 3rd

The tweaks change daily, like last week the Carbine didn’t have reduced spread, this week it does.

It would require them putting multiple gametypes in the open which will result in people having multiple different variants of the changes before they finally come out.

Do you know how annoying it would be to join a custom when someone is using an older variant of the changes when a new one has been out for two weeks?

Patience is all we need, Quinn & Bravo are aiming to get this perfect. Also IIRC, Quinn has said something like this isn’t possible for Halo 4.

Except it is not broken because you can still use and play all its features.

By this time, Halo 2 had TWO updates. The first of which wasn’t a big update. The second of which fixed a lot of issues that had to do with cheating, glitches and balance changes.

Imagine going all this time with NO fixes to cheating, modding, glitches and some balance changes. Almost 5 months without a fix since the games release.

Where as 343i have released several title updates already that fix map exploits, glitches, some minor balance changes and more. They’ve updated the game with more updates on a regular basis and much quicker.

Halo 2 had enough people playing it to justify putting effort into updates and tweaks.

I’ll give Halo 4 one more try in June… I still haven’t seen the last three maps that I pre-bought back in November… what a waste.

Just remember this when Halo 5 comes out. Expect limited support. Don’t expect Season 1 of Ops or whatever equivalent to be followed by a Season 2. If there is no beta, expect 8 months of consumer beta testing.

Yeah. I’ve quit playing this game. I keep checking on the forums to see if anything new is happening. But it seems all of their fixes are always months away, they are checking the feasibility of implementing changes, or they currently have no plans to do a certain change. Meanwhile the population keeps shrinking. At this point they might as well just go all out and start trying tons of random changes. Even if they aren’t fully tested, just start doing something! What do they have to lose? The population is dying off fast. Just start working on things and see what happens. Instead they just sit around and watch as everyone quits. I have loved every Halo game before this one. Seriously, even Reach, I may have complained a bunch about those changes, but never have I despised a Halo game as much as this one. I probably have never hated a game as much as this one. I bought my Xbox 360 for Halo alone. I own every Halo game. And outside of that I think I own three other games for the Xbox 360. That was how much I loved it. But I have decided that I won’t be purchasing the Nextbox or the next Halo’s. I am done with this franchise. 343 has just severely disappointed me.

Its weird, 343 seem to keep there players updated with information if you check the forums.

But people just keep complaining that it’s too late for that release.

I mean, please. I’ve played games that have gone months with out even saying if they’ll be an update this week. And yes, they did weekly updates for about 6-7 months and then just stopped and barely got one every 2 months.

Except 343i isn’t sitting around, they’re working on things. I’d rather have something implemented that works instead of just implementing changes without testing them.

Start doing random things just to do something? Seriously?

Anyways sorry to see you go!

I am completely puzzled by both the lack of patience in these forums and the overwhelming concern for population. Armchair quarterbacking is well and good but… yeah, the baking analogy is perfect.

People are only seeing what they want to see and ignoring the rest. As for the decision to not support Halo 5, that’s your choice but… we don’t know anything about it. And it’s foolish to think that Halo 5 is going to be exactly like Halo 4. No one Halo game has been a carbon copy of the previous.

I think fans of the franchise should give a mulligan to one miss and provide constructive criticism to make the game better. Ramdon changes are not constructive because they cannot be adequately measured and reported.

I give 343 what I feel is accurate and appropriate criticism: They bit off more than they could chew in an effort to try new things, and the results were mixed. They have done lots to improve the game since launch and I do not see that stopping any time soon. Overall I’m very satisfied with the game both as it was and where it is going.

Fair play, I suspect you’ll find some of the improvements to date (plus June 3) to your liking. Just remember it’s Halo 4, not Halo 3  And agreed, a Beta would be great, especially for a next gen platform.

As for the Halo 2 population comment, just remember that it’s never good business sense to throw good money after bad. All the lessons learned in Halo 4 (good and bad) can make Halo 5 all the better, and that’s what 343 is striving to do here.

What game has ever released perfect with no errors, bugs, or glitches?

Just because we do not like how it turned out doesn’t mean it is broken.

They are updating the game it takes a bit of time to do that.

People get hungry. People get mad. People eat somewhere else.

But for some reason they keep coming back to taunt the poor chef who was preparing a masterpiece but was hurried on by the manager.

And by this time Halo 3 got it’s first update to fix the broken melee system. Be patient.

> But for some reason they keep coming back to taunt the poor chef who was preparing a masterpiece but was hurried on by the manager.

Probably because the chef was caught trying to borrow ingredients from the McDonalds down the street.

> But for some reason they keep coming back to taunt the poor chef who was preparing a masterpiece but was hurried on by the manager.

Has Gordan Ramsey taught you nothing? A great meal relies on efficiency as well as skill. The prep chef is the one who takes his time making sure that the ingredients are all laid out and ready to go for the chef that puts the meal on the table. If any more time should have been spent it was in setting up the ingredients for success. The meal came out of the oven a little too quick and was a bit raw because the prep chef was lazy.
