I started this post because on others I’ve seen how people have problems with some of the weapons, and other people are great with them. This forum will be to teach/learn different strategies with all the weapons so everyone can be equally skilled, or at least better themselves. Please be polite and don’t berate someone if they can’t use, say the SAW (but who can’t though?)

Thread or topic actually. The forum is the collection of topics in which this topic resides.
On the subject of Saws- the best advice I can give is don’t reload. Not unless you’re in a safe corner where you no enemy can find you for 5 or so seconds. People reload it far too quickly after a kill.
Shotgun: always try to smartscope in
Hydra: lock on, and then look up (or situationally left or right) - the lock will remain and this will cause your hydra rockets to have a higher probability of hitting or at least cause splash damage
Don’t charge plasma caster, just spam it at the ground.
Scattershot: Bounce the rounds off of surfaces if you can’t exactly see your enemy or they are at a longer range. That way they track towards an opponent after the bounce. Works best with the Didact’s Signet.
I play Breakout almost exclusively anymore and I really enjoy the combination of the plasma pistol and magnum. Also known as the NOOB COMBO as the medal suggests. As long as you can adapt to the quick switch to the magnum after blasting the enemy with a fully charged plasma pistol (provided you get the head shot) you get the kill and the medal with it. Easy peezy. If nothing else someone else will take them out and you get the EMP Assist. Win win. Beyond that I stick with just the Magnum. Not much strategy except for head shots. Breakout and SWAT have helped me develop that skill tremendously which translates pretty well into the other modes. It’s a universal skill.

This hydra tip is pure gold.
Magnum: close to mid range, with the lack of reticle bloom simple learn to keep reticles on target, toy around with your look sensitivity until it feels right because once you’ve got the magnum on point every other hitscan weapon kinda follows. Personally I aim for the chest until I se the shield pop, mainly because I’m used to people using that weird crouching thing (does that actually help I’ve never had anyone get one up on me because of it, I either die because I die or I kill them) since when they crouch their head goes into my reticle for me, or i see they’re not doing the crouching thing and so my shots don’t fly past from aiming solely at the head.
For the gunfighter Magnum don’t spam it at range, get close, them spam, aim for the chest until the shield breaks, then slow down and aim for the head, Note its a 6 shot kill not a 5 like the normal magnum.
CE magnum make use of its full auto and always aim for the head, it’s pretty accurate so don’t worry about that too much.
BR: Ditto ^
DMR: Ditto
AR: Best for close to mid but when using at longer ranges pretend it’s a DMR with a really high fire rate, it holds accuracy really well when just tapping the trigger, even rapidly. For mid ranges, burst it every few shots to regain accuracy, good thing with this gun is 3 shots to the head and you’ve gotthe kill pretty quickly, useful in infection when using the AR.
SMG: Similar to AR, focus on bursting at mid range, longer ranges just don’t use it, close range full auto it.
Shotty: Get close, no working around that but the Blaze of glory has considerably higher range and is actually pretty powerful against vehicles. Oathsworn is simply a lawgiver with speed boost (not literally but still) make use of its increased speed to get close.
Hydra: Try to flank, make sure they can’t see you when doing so because it makes locking on so much easier. Typhon can lock onto 3 but it’s not worth it as it shoots in a 1 2 3 1 2 3 sequence with doesn’t help much but is good in close quarters as it has a high fire rate, aim at the feet, make use of the splash damage. Echidna canlock on without scoping but takes a little longer and can EMP vehicles, good against fast vehicles.
SAW: See AR… Appetite for destruction, has no rise thanks to the thrusters on it, try short bursts as its high damage with the accuracy bonus is fantastic.Answer, full auto at any range as it is insanely accurate due to its lower fire rate but, it rises like -Yoink-.
Rocket launcher: If you don’t know how to use a rocket launcher then shame on you xD Spnkr has slower rockets and so drops earlier in flight but has higher rate. Ad Victorium takes practice to lead the rockets, high five, make use of the lock on, don’t try to use as a normal launcher unless its mid to close range as the spread si too high and the blast radius is low
Sniper: Aim for the head, no major differences in the snipers really apart from Nornfang which is just beautiful, instant kill to players, massive damage to vehicles.
Splaser: Good for anti vehicle ifyou know where to aim, charge before going out into the open, Endgame is good for faster targets and players with double the shots, Lance is good for both but has a higher recoil but can damage with the charging laser.
Railgun: Use like a splaser, whiplash has a seriously high firerate from charging to aim carefully with it, Arclight can be charged the moment you wield it as it doesn’t auto fire. All 3 are good for vehicles but whiplash is best against players.
Chaingun: One of those shoot before encounter as it takes a little time to reach full fire rate which is when it’s most lethal, Oni version however, just use like you would The Answer. Jorges turret, well, burst it I guess if you want max accuracy
Rocket turret: lead your target but really just don’t use this unless it’s on a hog unless it’s Oni which can lock onto ground vehicles
Gauss: Beautiful, both as anti vehicle and infantry, its like the railgun but on a hair trigger with no charge, Oni is about the same but aim more towards feet to get max damage.
Storm: Burst at mid to long ranges, best paired with a headshot weapon here, close range either burst or full auto, up to you. Blissful slumber has bullet drop but high knockback with holds players still
Carbine: Mid to long ranges, takes a fair bit of practice to use actually, good trigger finger helps. Rain, full auto and can kill pretty quick, Blood needs a very good trigger finger to get max effectiveness out of it
Plasma Pistol: All 3 variants are good for noob combos and stopping vehicles but voids tear is great for catching players in the air as it swings them around and around, messes with them when deciding to thrust.
Sword: Sprint everywhere, the sword gives a minor speed boost anyway, Silver gives a bigger, Vorpal is perfect for close quarters as you gain 2 thrusts, Bane gives camo so move slow or walk.
Needler: Aim slightly ahead, helps the needles out when tracking, Hailstorm has higher fire rate and better tracking but still aim slightly ahead. Lost can go boom on vehicles, actually does more damage to the pilot more than the vehicle so it’s good for stealing vehicles. Best for light vehicles otherwise it functions like a normal needler.
Beam Rifle: See Sniper. Sword of Faithful and the Alpha can be used to body spamed if you dont trust yourself to hit the head on the first shot. Krith’s, aim for the body, the burst will take you up the head. Delta, body shot, the void will finish them off so long they dont thrust.
FRC: Best for mid range, good on light vehicles and Players, aim for the ground and lead your target.
Caster: learn its bounce, aim in front of players and quick fire two. Use the charge for mid to longer ranges or vehicles as it tracks and bombards.
BPlasma Rifle: Burst it for max accuracy, surprisingly more useful at longer ranges than the storm. good for close quarters for busting shield and then melee. Soirapt can instakill with melee so get close
Hammer: get close, grinder is good for crowds whilst Gavel releases a pulse which is very lethal, small learning curve for its range tho.
Hunter Arm: Grasp tracks rather well but haven’t used it enough to know its true lethality. The claw however is like the fuel rod but with a small charge.
Plasma turret, strong but with the terrible accuracy it’s no worth using unless you have the support. Personally I think it needs a buff
Suppressor: Shoot before encounter due to its climb in fire rate, fight at its max red reticle range for best tracking, the Edge is weird, needing 8 shards but you miss one then you have to start it all over again, good for flanking.
Boltshot: Scope as the bolts are actually faster when doing so, Fist has higher fire rate and ammo, Hand can kill in less but slower fire rate.
Light Rifle: Like a DMR or BR, it’s hitscan but its zoom increases damage, best use 2 shots while zoomed then use the increased fire rate of not being zoomed in to get the headshot (if that makes sense) Dying Star needs only 3 near misses with its explosion, but it sticks to players anyway so its more situational, terrible against vehicles.
Binary Rifle: Small learning curve, keep the reticle on target, sounds harder than it actually is, cus of its beam when scoping use another long range weapon to scout out targets before hand. Twin Jewels is more suited to vehicles rather than players.
Incineration cannon: Learning curve with its normal firing type, charge is good for outright killing. River charge can track, Heartseeker tracks overall
What weapons do you need help with?
Ad Victoriam can be guided via smart-scope.

Agreed, this one took me a while to figure out but it’: a great power weapon once you do.
Precision weapons:
chest, chest, chest, head
not
head, head, head, head
Less likely to miss your shots that way.

I personally don’t, but I’ve met a lot of people that do so I created this to help.
Railgun (my favorite weapon):
- You don’t have to charge it all the way - when the crosshair begins to tighten up, you can fire at will. Great for direct combat, or if you were caught off-guard. - The moment you insert a new slug / see the ammo counter in the top-right corner turn blue, cancel the rest of the reload animation with a brief sprint, or by thrusting, clambering, or with a melee attack - the last option is not recommended, however. Aside from that, this trick will make your reloads nearly twice as fast. - You don’t always need a red crosshair when shooting at someone - the Railgun will instantly kill someone as long as they’re in the center of the crosshair, no matter how far away you’re attacking them.
Aim on the head with the SMG and the Assault rifle, gives you sometimes the headshot bonus, what is odd in my opinion.

Honestly I only got vast experience with the ARENA weaponry, I don’t partake in anything WARZONE, at least not often… with the exception of the super fiesta… should be noted though I am a competitive player from ANZ, so got the knowledge to back you up, if anyone needs help.

Good input!
Never fire a Binary without using your sights. It’s a waste of a round that’s basically a one shot.

Nice!
I wish I could post documents but perhaps I may write a google doc for peoples input and additions.
