weapon stats on waypoint

Interesting thing I noticed yesterday while exploring halo waypoint over my xbox. I was checking out the weapon stats and I could tell it only gave stats for multiplayer matchmaking, but a few things caught my eye which I just need to share and possibly gain insight from the community. Among the weapon stats the strange tools of destruction came up:

Telefrag, Target Locator, Seraph, Sabre, Revenant Passenger, Onager, and so on. This leads me to the speculation that if these were listed as multiplayer weapons were some of them possabilities bungie contemplated for reach’s matchmaking? Imagine the campaign level Long night of Solace where it’s you in a sabre against covenant banshees and seraphs. A sabre vs seraph multiplayer fight would have been an epic map and as far as I am concerned it was one of the biggest let downs not being able to blow other people up in slayer gametypes using a sabre. So much potential wasted, hopefully we can get something like it in the days to come. I wish there was a free ‘game’ that allowed us to create our own forge maps. Not the forge worlds that we have in halo 3/reach, but a template, like being able to make a map that is entirely in space similar to the map anchor 9.

Are you sure you categorized your weapon stats by “Competitive”, rather than under “All Games”?

I don’t think telefragging is possible in Reach, and I haven’t seen the Target Locator (or almost every other thing you listed) outside of Campaign. I do agree that space battles would have made for some interesting gameplay, though!

Yes I am quite sure. Example - I have TL kills in campaign and firefight, same with onager and sabre except without the firefight kills and when I looked it up over waypoint while on my xbox it listed zero kills with any of them. It also does not list the seraph as a drivable vehicle if you check waypoint over a computer.

Perhaps it’s just an oversight. I don’t think there would have been any plans to use them in matchmaking.

It probably just lists all named damage types regardless of the match type you’ve selected.
