Weapon spawns are like a box of chocolates

You never know what you’re gonna get

Some games it’s a sword, sometimes it’s a grav hammer, same place, same map.

Some games it’s a commando, sometimes it’s a BR, same place, same map.

What are people’s thoughts on this?

Hard to get used to or does it increase variety and make things more interesting?

I get why they are doing this so people mix up their choices like ‘action sack’. Problem for me is that I find action sack annoying. So I’m not so keen on this.

It’s a double edged sword.

On one hand, it can make a game go any number of directions. Very good for keeping persistent map metas away.

On the other hand, it makes completing weapon-based challenge an act of begging on our knees to the RNG gods above.

It’s like that by design, to make every match feel and play different. I like this idea, it keeps maps and matches form getting stale because it’s different every time.

I like it for quickplay and BTB. It somewhat evens the playing field between veterans and newcomers without sacrificing anything except randomized weapon spawns.

I’m not sure how it works in Ranked, but if it’s in there, why? Ranked is supposed to reward knowing the game, and the game involves knowing each map for each game mode.
