Before Halo 4 came out we was all exited about weapon skins, but now that we own Halo 4 it seems that getting your hands on different weapon skins seems impossible?
I mean…do we even get more skins? and where from!?
I wish we could unlock weapon skins just like we unlock armour pieces

You unlock different weapon skins from the 8 different specializations, I believe there is 1 skin per spec.
They will probably add more in the future though spartan ops classifieds.

the only way to get other weapon skins is by preorder bonuses, or completing specialisations to a certain SRank.
i think there should be more skins for those who have completed the commendation for the gun. like a gold skin or something.
I agree about a skin for finishing a weapon commendation, but please no gold guns. This isn’t Gears…
Not gold like one red and one blue that would be awsome.
P.S. This is one of the few threads I’ve seen this month that arn’t just complaining and I care about so lets try to keep it alive.

I’d love more weapon skins too. I really like how come weapons have more than one (i.e. AR and BR)
Its pretty cool that when I’m making a new loadout, I can also change how my weapon looks for a nice, different asthetic look =]

Yeah. For a new feature it seems weird how little 343i have explored this. Gears 3 gives you weapon skin unlocks for maxing out your levels, getting trickier achievements, and so on. Why couldn’t Halo 4 do the same? In for a penny, in for a pound, and if that’s the route we’re going down then I’ll have a gold AR please
(They’d have to update the weapon select UI for that to work. It’s silly that guns with weapons skins count as a different gun in the loadout menu, if there were multiple skins per gun the menu would become unwieldy).

you can unlock the skins once you reach SR50, you can then use/apply the skin at SR55, one skin per SR level, in other words another skin is unlocked at SR60 and you can apply it at SR65 and again unlock one at SR70, apply at SR75 …you get the picture …depending on which “specialization” you choose, you can only choose one at a time and must complete it before choosing another one, will depend on what skin you get … most of the skins are sojavascript:__doPostBack(‘ctl00$MainContent$forum$ctl03$PostReply’,’’)me variations of camo color … but there is no new weapons as 343 would lead to believe, they are just …eye candy

I think he is talking about the DMR noble skin, carbine Reign skin, or the BR dunes skin.
I hope they can somehow add new skins. I’d love a Black Battle Rifle.

^This, there is also an exclusive light rifle skin for people who got the Halo 4 Xbox. A BR skin for pre-ordering and an AR skin for getting the limited edition.

No because I pre ordered from gamestop and got that skin already. This was a different one. Kinda looked like the DMR yellow skin, but for the BR =]
You don’t have to complete the specialization, just reach a certain rank within each one.
I’ve unlocked them all. I’m still very unhappy with it. I thought we could put weapon skins we unlock on any weapon, but no, we all will have the same weapon skins. “oh look! that guy has the same weapon skin i do… and that guy… and that guy…”
