Weapon skins are, at least for me, the most meaningful REQ unlock because you are looking at them literally for the entire game.
I was hoping to have a thread where people could share cool ideas they have for weapon skins and maybe give 343i some inspiration for future updates.
Here’s mine:
I’ve been a fan of TRON for a decade. The black body with glowing outline aesthetic just really “does it” for me. I think this theme could make an awesome weapon skin pack for all 5 weapons, with each weapon having a different color outline.
My personal artistic abilities are non-existent or I would work up a rough sketch of my idea but I think it’s fairly easy to understand.
Anyway, what are some other ideas ya’ll have?
Well based on the last weapon skins we got I am thinking something like this…
cheeseburger
skittles
turkey sandwich
ice cream
…you get the point
if they were smart, which obviously they aren’t, they would start using weapons skins as advertisements and charge companies to make money. Everyone will be rocking Taco Bell and Mountain Dew battle rifles before we know it
On a more serious note they should let each pro team design their own weapon skin with their logo on it so that everyone can rock their favorite teams colors. That would be cool… If only I could have played halo 3 with a str8 rippin battle rifle
I want more immersive colors. I want flat and camo styled colors. Like a digital Silver with Orange and Blue accents as a Forerunner styled camo. Or just a Flat Olive Drab. Or maybe a scratched up and fixed with duct tape kinda look.
I just like things that give the weapon more character and less boldness.
The difference between “My gun is a weapon, used for taking lives…” and "Look at my golden gun studded with diamonds that plays dubstep music!"
I would like to see skins with movement. Like a scrolling night sky or an AR that has a notch carved into the side for every kill you’ve earned with it in the match.
How about forest camo? Urban camo? Desert camo?

I’d love to see some more of those. We already have Ruptive which is one style of Oceanic camo.
