I think it would be cool if we could edit existing or create our own weapon skins. I like the ones we have but it would be so cool if I could at least change the colors around a bit. Take master control for example, what if we could change the neon blue to red or orange or yellow. Or change the boomco colors to blue AR and red for the magnum. Basically let us change the colors on the existing skins and also give us the option to create our own. One way I envision creating your own would be to have premade patterns or emblems that you can “stick” onto the outside of whichever weapon you are editing. Think about it like COD black ops where you could choose out of so many emblems or patterns and have them in layers to create your own custom logo. lets say your working on the magnum, it could have an outline of the magnum and you get to pick base color then overlay a couple of layers and pick the size and color of those layers and that’s your own unique custom skin. To me weapon skins should feel unique to you and if you had the option to create your own or edit existing you would like to look at it down there in your screen while you were playing.
TL;DR: We need weapon skin customization in the game to have our own unique take on weapon skins.

I wouldn’t have any problem with it, if you want your personal take on your own weapon skin to be on of those then more power to you. I mostly just want to have my own colors on there at least

I don’t think anyone would dislike more customization. It would also be cool to customize each weapon and change colors for things like the lasers from the splaser and the blade of the energy sword. Maybe even different choices of models. For example, you could choose default, infected, Prophet’s Bane, or classic.

You’re wrong on people not having issues with added custimization. Why add pointless cosmetics to play Barbie dress up when the rest of the game is full of bugs, gameplay issues, and a lack of variety. 343 have pushed reqs out so much they give that impression that’s worth more than actually giving a damn about their reputation or making a good game.
my own take is halo is a fps anyways, custimization shouldn’t be a big priority to people. Our Spartan has no voice to them, no story to them, so why add looks if you can’t get fully invested in them to begin with? There’s also the issue that added custimization then just opens up microTs even further. I don’t feel like having to pay to unlock -Yoink- cause that’s halos future the more people keep buying into this bull -Yoink-.

Definitely, the priorities should be the real issues first.
The weapon skin maker could just be pay money OR 10,000 req points to make one. You could have all the options available to you. This would be very non-intrusive.
A way to add to your Spartan is to bring back Spartan Ops, but better.

I think a lot of the complaints are from bad designs (looking at you, Seeker) and a lot of players want more customization like Reach’s.

I have said this approximately a billion times. I just wish for Reach’s customization!
