Splitgate has a pretty cool system where you have challenges to complete for a specific weapon, and when you complete them, you get a skin.
They have multiple challenges per weapon and then multiple tiers per challenge.
I think that would be a great system for weapons AND vehicles
It would work something like this.
MA40 AR
Get 100 kills=coating 1
Get 100 assists=coating 2
200 kills=coating 3
200 assists=coating 4
You get the idea
I think this would be a great system for 343 to add, how about you guys?
I would have given out some skins are charms for 3-starring each weapon drill. Right now I fell no one used the firing range because it’s kind of pointless.
Absolutely. This kind of basic thing is in COD too. All 343i had to do was copy the best ideas from other games but instead they make a mess of it and try to make a cash grab with store content.
something like this would be PERFECT for halo… too bad 343 doesn’t care enough to bother being a competent dev team and thinking about the players over money. honestly i enjoyed going for the weapon commendations in H5… but 343’s terrible source spagetti 2.0 engine just can’t allow them to implement anything that isn’t for the shop
I like how MW, BOCW, and VG all the last 3 CODs have plenty of content you can unlock just by playing the game, from operators and skins for them to mastery camos for every gun with as many calling cards and stickers as you please. It pathetic that Infinite only has like 10 cosmetic unlocks and 2 of them are stances with the rest being either reused skins from the campaign or just simple splashes of red paint lol.
Weapon drills were such a missed opportunity to entice the player to get the highest rank they can on each drill,
I don’t really see much value in participating in weapon drills other than getting the Deadeye achievement.
I mean, stuff like weapon skins could be regardless of skill (time would be a factor since everyone spends different amounts of time on the game but that doesn’t really matter)
And they could also have certain armor pieces locked behind “achievements” that are difficult to get.
