So I had a little tinker in Photoshop with some of the weapons and I was wondering what you think of them?
not bad. The pistol looks more like the classic one I’m used to. Honestly though, the colors of the pistol in the demo look fine to me. It’s the SHAPE that concerns me

Yeah, that’s a good point!
As Kiqueburrito said above, it’s less the color of the weapons as much as the models themselves. The Halo 2 pistol was entirely black and had a much more modern feel, yet it still looked like it belonged in the Halo universe overall. This seems to be an issue for most of the new Human weapons that we saw in the gameplay premiere, and that worries me since some of these weapons like the drum fed shotgun are not simply new additions, but replacements for the classic variants.
