Weapon Max Range, Scuffed or Forge Limitation?

Has there been published anywhere a table of weapon maximum ranges? Is there a hard limit or does it depend?

Testing out a largish BTB type map in Forge. Based on multiple tanks per side. Thinking back to some of the cool tank encounters from previous Halo games. And so the map is setup with lots of covered paths and cover, but also longer sightlines as well.

Problem is, when testing in Forge it seems the scorpion’s shells disappear after a short distance. Won’t register hits at all after maybe 1/4 of the map? (As it is vehicles visually disappear after a somewhat longer, but still not very far, distance.)

Is this a limitation of Forge, Multiplayer, or just my system/settings? Or is there a very short range limit on all weapons?

If there’s an unbreakable max range then I have to completely change how I think about the game and the maps made to block any long sightlines at all, which is silly. But the alternative is knowing someone is there and not being able to hit them despite a clear shot.
