For those who don’t know, yes; you can lower your weapons in Halo 5… sort of. The button combo is Right Stick, D-Pad Down, X, A. That works on both the Default and Halo 4 control schemes.
Well… not exactly. Thing is, though your weapon may appear to be lowered in first-person, if you go into 3rd-person while in Theater mode, your Spartan is still holding their weapon up. I notice this last night when I was trying to get some cool screenshots of my character. What gives?
It might be fixed when Forge comes out.

I really hope it is. There is no reason they can’t add it in. Those canpaign “missions” anyone?

I know Rooster Teeth needs it to make new episodes of Red Vs. Blue in Halo 5, as does pretty much every other machinima maker in the Halo community. That’s the whole reason Bungie first implemented the feature in Halo 2.

As a machinima creator myself, this is a vital tool that helps make the overall presentation better, appearance-wise. Just having spartans walking around like they’re about to shoot is very unrealistic.

You’re Stupid, There Are HUNDREDS Of Content Creators Who Use This ALL The Time…
Another way is holding an Energy/Plasma Sword that is 0%, looks funny and silly but its something…

I always figured that was the way they made it appear that a spartan didn’t have a weapon. But what I wonder is how Roosterteeth managed to make it seem as though the spartans weren’t even holding the handle.
