as this topic suggest, this post is about ideas for added functions for currently existing weapons in halo or ideas for even entirely new weapons. So heres my thought as an example:
the needler would change its melee damage according to how much ammunition is left on its “clip” think about its spikes like when i first played halo ce those crystals looked like daggers and i thought that it would be great melee weapon (it wasnt really special in damage but looked amazing when chief took it from his hand and hit the enemy with the spikes) but anyway the lenght and number of those crystals would indicate the melee damage and when it would be empty it could have less damage but quicker animation to its melee attacks.
lets just hope the developers will read at least some posts because thats one way to improve the game. Because i hope this is a better way to try to improve series than telling newer parts of the series are crap and instead try to tell them where they went wrong. (looking angrily at the black sheep of the series: H4, but its understandable since it was 343i:s first halo game lets just hope H5 will be a lot better.)

What about incineration cannon that has bouncing shots? Or maybe a Plasma Caster that has a charge shot that, though it has a small explosion damage, when hits a surface, it splits into 3 plasma grenades that go decent distance in different directions and do more damage than normal.

interesting idea it could fit in this theme of UNSC and covenant technology mix (needle warthog).
how bout mixed UNSC and brute technology with some weapons getting small “gravity punch” with melee attack to push away and stun enemies? Of course this would be balanced by the melee being slower and the weapon itself could be slower grenade launcher and it would be meant for spartans only because it would be unuseful for being too heavy for marines.

like a fuel rod-/incineration cannon mix? Could be interesting lorewise for its being one of the first steps of covenant/this new forerunner technology (even covenant technology is based on pieces of forerunner technology).

not really, had the UNSC/brute technology mix idea now and just remembered i had idea for needler too so just made a post here then, but if the moderators feel like this was wrong thing to do (to bring 2 ideas up), they can just comment here explaining why and then simply lock this thread, anyway anything new to add on this topic?
