Weapon Glare needs to go

I didn’t say if, buddy. I said when. It’s an inevitability.

EDIT: lol, sorry, I mis-spoke. I’m at Diamond. Sorry, I started in plat and keep forgetting.

You have a 42% win percentage and your accuracy on controller is under 50%. You wont get there lol.

So, when I do get there, are you going to take that back?

Good luck lol. The ranked system eventually finds where you belong and you start losing half your rank from a single loss. You won’t even get close to onyx with your stats.

You are literally only Diamond 3, you’re not that impressive man. Especially not with that absolute cliff dive.

Never said I was, nor did I ever say I would reach onyx. My stats all overall are significantly better than yours. You have no chance at reaching onyx. I was close to D4 at one point though till the game decided to crash on me repeatedly.

I… wouldn’t say significantly. But if you’ve given up on Onyx I guess that makes one of us.

Weapon glint isn’t important for competitive, which is the only real gamemode that matters for that balance.

It was made for btb since 343 starts you off with a weapon that doesn’t work at range.

My HS accuracy is 20% higher than yours lol. You can’t aim for crap.

We can continue this challenge whizzing match all day, but I’ll move on and get Onyx by February, mid to late at the latest. You can stay in Diamond if you’re content there. That’s my last word on this lol.

Headshot accuracy has nothing to do with aim. You can miss 20 bursts and as long as you kill with a headshot, that’s 100% headshot accuracy.

It’s literally just kills divided by amount of headshots.

You wont even get close lol. Quit dreaming and accept the reality that you’re mediocre.

Let’s not throw stones in glass houses.

I do NOT like scope glare on EITHER side. I hate scoping in and immediately being pummelled from all directions, AND I hate seeing someone with a big -Yoink!- flashlight on their weapon which is usually so bright I can’t even make out their head, it’s so stupid and distracting. Everyone whining that they want to keep it need to take the training wheels off. We never needed it in 20 years of this franchise. It’s called a power-weapon for a reason. It’s supposed to be supremely powerful.

No glass here, I know where I sit. I only play this game like once a week. Even if I did play every day I’d probably cap out at D4, maybe hit D5 if I got a string of good games, but I’m not gonna pretend I’m onyx level like the other dude who peaked at gold in H5 and is P4 in cross play in infiite and barely D1 in controller queues in a game that’s got a weird ranking system already. I didnt start losing points till I neared D4

Weapon glint is a result of BTB settings being bad and not being able to have a fighting chance against snipers like you did in previous games.

343 wants nebulous settings like this to stay the same over each mode, so it stays in 4v4 and ranked.

Snipers are not supposed to be 8 automatic kills. It’s a power weapon, not a golden gun. It’s a fine balance mechanic in AR starts btb.

They didn’t allow you to fight back against snipers so they’re at least giving you a bit of knowledge that it is a sniper, and that’s fine.

Ya this is the one thing people forget about Halo. Its an arena shooter. Power weapons are not supposed to be balanced.

That’s where you’re wrong. Power weapons do still need to be balanced. And it’s a good balancing mechanic.

No doubt. Its embarrassing that 343 added weapon glare never seen in a halo b4

1- You’re right. Power weapons do need to be balanced.
2- Glare is NOT a good balancing mechanic.
3- The Sniper is already balanced because you only get 8 shots, and you have to be extremely EXTREMELY good to pull off 8 kills with those 8 shots. Most, average, players are going to be lucky to get 4 kills out of those 8 shots, then it gets thrown away, if you haven’t already died with it. It’s already a balanced weapon. If it locked onto your head and required no aim, then it would be unblanaced. Or if it was a beam weapon like the Binary rifle, then it would be unbalanced. This thing is hard to use and has limited ammo.
