I didn’t know which stickied topic this really belonged in but I just wanted to express my grievances about some of the weapons in infinite so far through testing with the preview.
The needler is ridiculous. It’s pretty hard to know you’re getting shot at and I believe the projectiles are far too fast. - The commando is simultaneously overpowered and kind of bad. If you hit your all your shots it shreds people, but the kick is ridiculous. I would suggest reducing the kick, either lowering the damage or slowing the fire rate. - I feel like the sidekick bloom should be toned down just a bit to make it slightly more viable. - I feel like controller aim assist should be raised very slightly. by about 5% or so just to make the gunplay a little more satisfying. - AR range should be decreased a tiny bit. - Don’t really understand the place of the heatwave. It feels very underwhelming though. - I definitely feel like we need more weapon placements on the map, especially tier 1 precision weapons.
I actually thing the lack of precision weapons is a good thing. I’d almost argue the BR shouldn’t be in social playlists as this will create a much more casual environment for people to play. Or if it is on the map have one on either teams spawn, or a single neutral BR with a 1 minute respawn.
Agree with pretty much everything you’ve pointed out. I think there’s no doubt that the aim assist will be increased, but I honestly enjoy the change compared to something like Halo 4 where you could lose a BR fight to a monkey.
The needler is hilariously good right now. Reminds me of dual wielding it in Halo 2

Yes. I love this idea. Map spawn br is the way to go.
Weapons. Hopefully there will be more added in with release.
As for the needler, I haven’t figured out it’s learning curve yet, practically impossible for me to use at the moment.
Actually all of the nonhuman weapons are pretty much unusable to me and out of place.
The Heatwave must have some use, but I’m not sure yet.
The AR is beautiful, finally usable after so long.
Aim assist is fine where it’s at for me.
The commando I am surprised about, it is effective. Usage reminds me of H4s DMR, amazing if you don’t scope in
The sidekick is another surprise to me, I quite like it. The bloom it a back up, a sidearm.
The Shotty could use a single extra round to make up for its non-hitscan.
All in all, I’m impressed, especially with the human set.
