So we all (should) know the weapon glitch in you can do in forge with the weapon pads. But what if we had some actual creative freedom when we spawn weapons.
Imagine you’ve just remade a map from Halo CE in Infinite and you place down an AR, but then you open up the weapons properties and you can change its ammo cap to 60 from 32/36. Then you decide to raise it’s fire rate to match how it was in CE. THEN you reduce its damage and raise it’s bloom. Do some playtesting with friend and boom you’ve remade the CE assault rifle. So you save it as weapon prefab so you can place it on other maps.
But why stop at remaking a weapon stats. Why not change them entirely. Imagine you want to make the carbine battery based. Going into the settings you can change ammo type (for all weapons) and if you wanted projectile too. Projectile speed (from hitscan to m/s) and projectile colour. Projectile type too change it into a plasma bolt that can headshot with near hitscan speed if you wanted.
Do it for vehicles too. Modify vehicles speed. Fire rate, health damage etc. Change their projectiles too.
Let us mod without modding. It’ll let forgers make authentic maps, players make rediculous gamemodes and make infinite the most sandbox halo ever made.
I like this idea a lot! 343 could make the weapon customization super in depth and even go further than the example you provided. I mean why not? Its forge and there should be as much creative content as possible. Imagine jumping into someone’s custom map (custom games browser) and finding a spartan laser that fires fully automatic laser blasts. You could have crazy chaotic forge battles that exceed the craziness of super fiesta. This could be really fun casual halo gaming and would only add to infinte’s replayablity.
Yes, sure. But keep it in custom games.
This would be awesome. Being able to customize weapons this way could be a good way for the community to help 343i balancing weapons too.

What about Action sack? And those feature gamemodes on map remakes? Using authentic recreations of the weapon functionality for a weekend
Action Sack? Sure. Wouldn’t be the craziest thing to be featured in that gametype.

Imagine a game mode where you have a plasma rifle and it fires huge numbers of plasma bolts before overheating. But the bolts are insanely slow so there’s just a wall of plasma and it’s a breakout style game so you have to kill people with these slow shots. Literally trying to wall in opponents so the can’t escape the death.
I mean this would be an awfully painful game mode to play but it’s one example of what could be done
