Yes unless one of your teammates is physically staring at the weapon from up close it will de spawn in 10 seconds. A fix that needs to be addressed in the TU
The weapon despawn is most annoying in solo spartan ops. I really don’t like fighting 6 hunters on legendary with just my assualt rifle. I die with the fuel rod cannon and its gone… FML
Yes. It pisses me off so bad when I get a weapon drop and then immediately get sniped because I know by the time I (insta) respawn and run back to where I died it will be gone.

This is the main reason I never go into MM without AMMO support package. If I get shot several times but kill the opponent, I want to do two things:
Let my shields recharge
Take his ammo
With the current weapon despawning, I can only do one of those things. If I charge for the ammo, I risk being a very easy kill. If I wait for the shields to recharge, the weapon will usually despawn before I get to it.
I agree that the despawn time needs to be increased but keep in mind that they probably made it that short in the first place to decrease lag. Knowing that the lag is (At times) pretty bad anyway, think about how much worse it would be if everyone’s primary and secondary weapons lingered for a minute after they perished.
Yea it is pretty annoying losing power weapons because they liquefy within seconds of being dropped, but at the same time it helps keep the power weapons out of the bad guys hands double edged sword i guess, but it would be nice if when i came right back i didn’t have to watch in poof when im 10meters away
