Weapon despawn times in warzone

I think at this point we’re all familiar with the feeling of calling in a good REQ, running outside of the base with it, getting killed, and leaving it on the doorstep to our own base?

We go to pick it back up and in the ten seconds it takes to respawn, that weapon is already gone (not taken by someone else, you could see it sitting there in the press x to Jason screen).

I really don’t think this would hurt to lower the despawn on called-in REQs, it would only eliminate frustration that nearly everyone has experienced. If this REQ was dropped within reasonable distance of a friendly base (or many times within a base), it wouldn’t significantly change the flow of gameplay at all.

this is why i don’t hesitate to pick up a gun a Ally has dropped, i know there is no chance of them getting it back.

Calls in a rocket luncher. Immediately splattered because spawn system is awful. Looses rocket launcher and REQ energy
You mean that isn’t fun? I love when it happens to me! Kappa.

This happens to me all the time. I’ve lost so many Spartan lasers and snipers… tears. Don’t forget calling in a vehicle just to have the match end.

yup, fix this, along with the utter brokenness of arena, then 343, you will have a perfect game

Gotta love when these things happen, Eh?

It wouldn’t be so bad if, like has been mentioned, the spawning wasn’t so inconsistent.

I completely agree the despawn times are ridiculous. I don’t know if the servers are that bad that they can’t handle leaving weapons on the ground for any longer than a few seconds or what but I also believe that when you drop a weapon by dying anyone else BUT you can pick it up on the field and IF THEY DROP IT AGAIN then you can pick it up. I also believe that you are the ONLY ONE who can’t see the weapons you died with. If anyone can confirm or deny these assertions that would be great.

I’ve noticed not being able to pick up weapons as well. I haven’t payed enough attention to it to be sure, however I think you are correct in saying that some weapons you drop can’t be picked up again. Strange if true…

More like incredibly unfair! We paid either good req points or good actual money for those weapons and deserve at least to be able to pick them up!!!

The despawm times arebr to the benefit of the server, but the hardware. Too many objects will most likely slow the game down, resulting in a frame rate drop. Counter intuitive to the locked 60FPS that 343 wants to maintain.

How about, all of us truly coming to terms with the fact that calling in non-Legendary REQs at all, is basically pointless?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to use Legendary or Rare REQs just to make a weapon/vehicle -Yoinking- useful. They are so bloody underpowered out the box I can’t survive the next BR duel or I’m hijacked trying to leave the base. I’m so fed up with the map traversal.

They could actually remove Scorpion hijacking and I wouldn’t mind. I’m sick of it.

They removed it? I think it would be fair if maybe they made it so it required 3 grenades to kill a Corp or ONI scorpion, that way people can’t just take them down in an instant.
