This has happened to me more times then I can remember. I spawn with let’s say a rail gun and immediately after I leave my spawn I die you’d think “Oh no big deal I’ll just re-spawn and grab the rail gun.” but now by the time you get back there it’s already despawned or taken but most of the time it’s just despawned. This really frustrates me especially when I use a really powerful weapon req card die then try and get it back but it’s despawned. This is seriously aggravating.
I agree with this. Its like Halo 4 campaign all over again.
I completely agree. They should definitely increase despawn timers.
Well the game wouldn’t be able to maintain the all powerful 60 fps unless it despond everything super quickly. I would just like to see less vital things, like the rag dolls, despawn faster than the weapons.

That would be very nice because of random bodies from the beginning of the game are still there at the end.
My Spartan Company tend to pick up any REQs we might lose when we die and give them back to us once we respawn. Really nice to have mates that do that for you.

Yeah that is actually a really good idea, too bad I don’t have too many people to play with.

I think cutting down on the particle effects would also let the weapons stay longer. There is often fire or some other particle effect that wouldn’t be effecting the gameplay that much, I would be fine with those not being there.

It is but if they can’t get there fast enough it becomes really annoying when you keep dying over and over with really good weapons.
I 100% agree. The despawn time is ludicrous.

Yea I see your guys point I’m just putting it out there. If someone loses a good REQ when we are playing everyone just yells out to go grab it straight away. I understand that the despawn times are very low.
The problem is 343 doesn’t make a conscious decision to make weapons despot fast in Warzone (to my knowledge). They most likely have a despawn algorithm, which prioritizes when to despawn and what it’s despawning. In Warzone the algorithms are going to always be busy because of 24 players, the weapons of those player, the calculation for projectile trajectory, rendering and many other things. The despot algorithm might be coded to despot weapon first, which may be why the weapons despot so fast. So it’s not exactly 343s fault that they despawn so quickly, it’s most likely the way the algorithm works.
No they shouldn’t increase the despawn timers. They don’t want Warzone to turn into everybody having tons & tons of power weapons for the majority of the time. It will hurt the gameplay, not help it. It already sucks when you’re on a team of randoms just getting REQ-spammed by the other team of 12, they don’t need to make it any easier for people to abuse things. Instead of thinking about losing your Railgun, think about the opposite of when you take out an opposing sniper, Ultra Banshee, or the like how much it helps your team because they can’t really get it back. Stop nitpicking every aspect of this game & play it how it was designed. It is designed correctly for the most part.
A thing I also just noticed. Is that load out weapons take much longer to despawn than power weapons. Though this isn’t that much of an issue because you can pick up ammo but still it’s weird because most of the time the ammo the gun you have is almost full.

It takes REQ energy to spawn weapons, so you wouldn’t really be able to overload the amount of weapons you had. You just would maybe get a chance at 5-6 more kills or so depending on what weapon you’ve got.

Not to be rude but what your implying is that you and your team of randoms is getting pushed and most of you are getting killed by a sniper. By the time you kill that person they will have enough req to just get a new sniper rifle, beam rifle, or binary rifle so it would be pointless to kill them just wait until they have no ammo. Plus the banshee would just blow up.

They might not actually despawn slower, it might be the sheer mass of them on the ground that makes it seem like they despawn slower. Actually it’s probably all of those that force everything else to despawn so quickly. If the despawn algorithm (if there is one) was modified to get rid of load out weapons faster than power weapons the whole problem would be solved.

Your probably right about that. And the thing is they shouldn’t use an algorithm they should make a set time for weapon despawn that would make it much better but not make it something ridiculous like three seconds it should be something reasonable like ten or twelve seconds at the most.

Also this is your opinion and there is no need to say it in a manner like that. Everyone has there opinion my just seems to different then yours and some agree with you and some agree with me. So let’s agree to disagree.

An algorithm is one of the most efficient ways to make an automated system in a game, removing the algorithm would be counterproductive because it’s doing quite well already. It needs a few tweaks but heck, so does the spawning algorithm, actually the spawning should be fixed first because it’s messed up.
