I don’t ever enter those games myself, but since there are so many players in those lobbies, it’s safe to assume that assassinations are popular and well liked. I am like you and I disable the assassinations simply for the reason of not accidentally assassinating someone when i don’t want to, but I will admit it is a bit more degrading and humiliating to get assassinated by someone you didn’t see coming, especially if you have a power weapon or OS.

Nothing ends the match quite like the last man standing getting slammed over and over by one player while all the other surviving team mates shoot, t bag, and dance around like bafoons before his inevitable defeat.

> I like the idea of weapon based assassinations in Halo, however, due to the lack of blood and gore they look ridiculous in Halo 5. They work well in Gears because they are brutal, and they look brutal, same with Doom 2016 and glory kills and weapon based kills, the chainsaw kills are so good. I know Doom Eternal is taking it further. I hope Halo Infinite does too, but I think they’ll look just as ridiculous as Halo 5 without blood and gore.
All the more reason to bring back the M rating, amirite? However, looking from their perspective, there are a lot of parents over the years who have been fine with their 10 year and above kids playing Halo.(ny parents it was a big hell no) however, I’ll make an educated guess and assume that they wouldn’t let their kids play something as brutal as Gears or Doom. There is a big difference between a super soldier guy just shooting aliens and some overly buff dude chainsawing people to shreds.
I mean, Halo has branched more into the kids market now than it ever has before: mega bloc, POPS dolls, plush toys, freakin plastic energy swords with sound effects. 343 has the dilemma that they gotta make the next game appeal to ppl like you and me who want a Mature rated game, while at the same time knowing that a part of their fan base is playing with Mega Blocks of Master Chief.
Solution: make Infinite M for Mature, but then create a mega blocks or POPs Halo game also that kids/young teens could play. It would totally work, and I guarantee there would even be tons of adults who would play a Halo mega blocks or POPs game, myself included.
Hell, if Gears of War can make a POPs game, then why can’t Halo?
Inb4 “not enough money” “waste of time” “they have better things to do”
This is my opinion, so anyone can feel free to agree or disagree as they please.
