Weapon Balancing - Some Suggestions

Okay, some will probably disagree but idc this is opinions of friends of mine and myself who have been players since H1 and LOVE the franchise. Some weapons, as I’m sure all the devs know, will need to be tweaked for the health of the game. Also i’ve read some others having similar posts on some weapons, but the more posting about it means something maybe is done about it. Here’s what we think:

Pistol: The pistol is really strong at the moment. Either its rate of fire or accuracy from afar is making this a better option than most weapons on the map. People can spam perfections from cross map without issue right now. That’s not a medal that should have SO MANY awarded in each match. Either the bloom needs to be more, or accuracy % needs to be turned slightly down. I feel like Halo is supposed to make you focus on map control and picking up the different weapons on the map to do so. Right now there isnt really a better combo than AR and pistol. Pistol is better at being the BR than the BR as it stands

AR: I know people say its too OP, tbh in close to medium range its perfect. We just think the accuracy at distance should fall off. I’ve been melted from pretty far away by an AR, and that just feels odd for a full auto weapon. Its power otherwise feels like Reach, and we love that

Bulldog: I dont even feel like theres a point in grabbing this weapon. It seems no matter what its minimum 2 shots to kill. Its increased range is nice, but again with the pistol or AR coming at you its not that viable. The 2 shot thing only makes sense if others cant kill you faster. So maybe make it stronger with less range, or balancing other weapons make this viable.

Ravager: This just feels weak? Even fully charged I’ve hit someone dead on and they lived, then I died. If a charged grenade hits, how does it not kill?

Heatwave: This has the same feel of weakness as the bulldog. The ricochet aspect would be a fun gameplay moment if you didnt die so fast to other weapons first. I’ve dead on hit someone twice with it at close range on vertical only to die to a pistol. It needs to pack more of a punch to be a good option. No one fights over the heatwave spawn on the map, because no one wants to use it. It’s just a weaker option vs the spawn weapons.

Bonus non weapon:
Slayer needs to cycle WAY WAY more in quickplay. People play Halo to play slayer, and im LUCKY if one of my 10 games in a row has a single slayer. Objectives get really old to those who just want to fight. Fiesta helped, but its so randomized and full of constant power weapons.
