Weapon Balance is far from perfect

AR is op ,sidekick and commando on mouse are bad. Only br is balanced. Bloom makes the guns random. Commando should be like Br( Without bloom). None cares about pulse carbine coz its just not on the lvl of other precision weapons. Nobody ever picks it up coz its underwhelming. I repeat… there should be no bloom on commando or else it gets overshadowed by the br which feels so much more consistent. What do u guys think?

The Commando is not supposed to be on equal footing with the BR at range. It’s supposed to get edged out once you’re far enough away for the Bloom to make a significant difference.

The Commando is instead much more powerful than the BR, it’s headshot TTK is 1.0s, and body shot TTK is 1.4. comparatively the BR’s headshot TTK is 1.45. that means you can literally body shot a player to death with the Commando faster than you can score a perfect medal with the BR. So the Commando will just outright wreck the BR consistently within the range where Bloom doesn’t impact it, which is a significant range. If you removed the Bloom it would just map BRs for free, and leave the BR completely useless.

Also the Sidekick is not bad on mouse. It’s range on mouse is insane, controller players lose red reticle and therefore all aim assist at like 20m, barely further out than the tiny radar in this game. M&K players can consistently hit enemies at the Behemoth Sniper towers from their base with it.

So you turned this on a mouse vs controller how typical of you. I completely disagree with all your points. And commando is harder to use than br but does not feel worth it at any range btw. Hit reg on commando is so bad. Some tymes i melt people with it and some times shots that should ve hit dont.

I am on PC/MKB, and I think the sidekick is awesome. My biggest issue with any of the weapons is that the TTK on the sidekick is quicker at mid range than the BR, at least for me it is. This may be because I am hitting 1/3 bullets/burst due to recoil, but the BR feels useless for anything shorter than mid/long range. I feel like the BR is nearly useless now, but it might just be useless in my hands. That being said, I don’t want it to get to the point of H5 where everyone is just using pistol and BR, that leads to a very boring firefight, which leads me to really like where the AR is now. I use it as my up close spray or secondary gun.

Br is the most consistent precision weapon by far. Its just that ar is op and dominates at ranges where it shouldnt

You want to turn this into an argument? Fine.

The Commando isn’t the problem, you are. You are both complaining about the Bloom, but not doing anything to play around it. You are holding the trigger at long range and letting the Bloom max out, which is perfectly okay for landing the body shots necessary to drain the shields. But if you don’t let off the trigger for a split second and let the Bloom cool down, you are allowing the Bloom to prevent you from scoring the final headshot. That’s on you, not “poor hit registration” your shots are missing because you aren’t playing by the weapon’s rules.

If bloom gets removed from the Commando it will utterly dominate the sandbox at nearly all ranges.

I feel like more people should be talking about how useless the heatwave is, especially its horizontal fire. this thing needs a huge buff to keep up with weapons like the ravager and even the assault rifle.

I feel like its horizontal fire is going to be pretty effective against waves of grunts and jackals in campaign at least lol.

Have you tried using it on a vehicle btw? It melts hogs and ghosts pretty hard. I’m wondering it that has anything to do with it’s lackluster performance against players. Or if the intended use of Horizontal mode is to take advantage of its higher rate of fire to melt through large targets like tanks.

That’s the problem with AR, it dominates the meta in close to mid range fights. That shouldn’t be the case for a gun that is just so easy to use.
