Weapon Balance and what it should mean

I’m seeing a good number of post talking about H5 having great weapon balance. I think H5’s weapon balance is terrible. For a game to be “balanced” means it should reward skill not just make all guns be very useful. The AR is entirely too strong and that’s only because it’s reticule is huge. If a game is to reward skill, weapons with the fastest kill times need to be the hardest to use. This brings me to another important point. The perfect kill time of a skill based weapon needs to be much faster than the average kill time. It is much too easy to get a “perfect kill” with the BR or DMR. The only starting weapon that got this right in the history of Halo is the CE pistol. It has the fastest kill time of any starting weapon ever but it’s average kill time is much higher than its fastest kill time. For example the pistol is a three shot kill but pulling of a tsk is very rare and most good players take 5-8 shots to kill an opponent. In Halo 5 with sprint, thrust, slide, and clamber It should by much harder to shoot players than in CE but it’s not at all. Smart scope on the autos is okay in my opinion bc it does take some skill to aim it at that point but they still need a major Nerf. If everyone wants a Halo game that promotes the use of Halo 5 like autos then go ahead but don’t claim to me its balanced, skill based, or competitive.

I agree, I am against smart scope aka ADS, because of this. If a player uses Default controls then to ADS and Fire all that need be done is hold both triggers. Now even though when shot you get taken out of ADS, holding down the Left trigger will prompt the game to ADS once you’ve recovered therefore the accuracy of the weapon will remain increased. Leave the AR and other Auto weapon spreads the same zoomed or not. I personally use Halo 4 controls and it is a toggle zoom, this is how all Halos have been and should remain in my opinion. It should be skill based, if you have the skill you can over come a fight fight, if s player can willy nilly aim and fire with bonus accuracy with a weapon that was never meant for accuracy then we are just playing COD where one gun will rule them all while exploiting the games system, via trigger holding, quick scoping or even modded controllers. I like honest players not tool assisted noobs.
