I think 343 should do something similar to what EPIC did with Gears of War 3. We should be able to purchase/unlock armor/weapon skins. And maybe some skins that move on the armor/weapon. Like Grunt blood splattered on the front of the Shotgun, flood infected weapon.
And unlocking exclusive armor/weapon skins from completing Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Anniversary(and maybe Halo wars).
Any other ideas you guys might have with weapon/armor skins?
I think what he means is, besides getting pre-order bonuses, actually be able to spend Microsoft Points and buy weapon and armor skins. The good news is (and I’m not sure about the pre-order bonuses being unlockable in-game)that alot of weapon and armor skins and emblems can be unlocked by completing specializations (the thing you do after reaching level 50). Hope that answers the questions.
There is already weapon and armor skins in the game that can be unlocked by doing specific things (specializations). Although there are a few unobtainable due to be pre-order bonuses. I am sure they will be available for DLC eventually. I think 343i could perhaps release some DLC skin packs if they ever create some new skins.

Ok then. I can help you out now that you’ve been explained.
I wouldn’t mind buying skins with microsoft points, so long as they weren’t that expensive. I can’t even see them being more that 80MSP(which I think is the lowest price on the xbox). I wouldn’t personally buy them as I find it a waste of money, but to those who don’t, let them do it. its their money.
As for skins, not all of them are preorder bonuses. in fact, most of them aent from what I’ve seen. Most are unlocked by simply leveling up your character. There are also some that are only made available with specializations, but only 1 skin set for the armor set that comes with each specialization.
Well from the more recent builds of the game, it seems they only have like 2 weapon skins for each weapon which imo, is not a lot at all. You will probably be able to unlock them within the first month or so.
