We were given a bit more resources...why?

So in one of the ViDocs, cant be bothered to find out which, one of the artists was talking about how Master Chief’s armor was a major part of the design process, and how in engine they were given twice as much as any other NPC in the game in resources to make him look amazing, and how his armor looks functional and yadda yadda yadda…

Hindsight much?

Why would you even bother making him look like anything? When are we going to see Chief’s armor in gameplay?

Did they forget that Theater wasn’t going to be IN Campaign?

I mean, other than a few cutscenes where he presses buttons where we see his back for a second, when do we really get a full frontal view of Chief, in engine, for more than a second? Never.

So… why make his body anything other than a low rez grey slab? It really makes no sense to me.

Yup, coulda spent more time and let flood carry weaps…

Probably for all the TV adverts, you know the things that matter most to 343/Microsoft.

Cutscenes, like in all Halos, ARE in engine.

No they’re not, there is a massive visual disparity between cutscenes and in game. I know pre rendered CG when I see it, especially compared to this game’s engine.

If I’m wrong, then why is there no Theater in Campaign? 3 ODST and Reach all had it, why not this game?

some of the cutscenes are in engine, some are cg
