In all seriousness; split screen doesn’t have room in the code. The frame rates would drop significantly to keep their textures. Not going to happen until they understand the x1 architecture more.

They have stated that split-screen in Halo 5 would require them to rebuild the game from the ground up, so no patch or update will add it.
