This is rediculous that you cannot play spart ops offline, also you can’t play without a gold membership. We should get to keep the content no matter what. Our internet went out for a week and the only thing you can do on this game is campain and forge. Atleast on firefight you got to keep all content.
Ayye. I miss the good ol’ offline Firefight.
I agree, Spartan OPs should be available to be played Offline as much as you like. Only matchmaking with other players over Xbox Live should require an Xbox Live Gold Membership.
It can not be done, or implemented offline, it is DLC, content that is not available on the disc, it is streamed to your Halo 4 game online.
Everyone pretty much has Xbox Live Gold, they have no reason to cater to the ones who do not have it honestly, it is just a waste of resources, and can not be done regardless due to the content being DLC.
They can not foresee your power going out, and even with Firefight you could not play the DLC maps if you were offline, only the standard ripped from on disc Campaign maps.
If you’re playing spartan ops solo it shouldn’t require gold.

sorry but saying pretty much everyone has gold is ridiculous. the only reason i have it is cuz i got lucky and won a bet along with a couple other things that happened that got me the money. there are tons of serious gamers that dont even have internet and i think that they should be able to play spops. especially since its canon. its just not right. i can see how it cant just be patched to work offline but still.

The content that is being downloaded or streamed is the episodes in which case if we can’t download them then we’ll just have to view them from waypoint like we do terminals, the missions or current missions are on the disc. Overall, what I’m saying is that its more then feasible for Spartan OPs to be accessable Offinle. The only real issues is viewing Episodes and the new Episodes coming out (are we going to have to download anything, like the new enviornments?).

Eveyrbody pretty much has gold? Simply not true - content is on disk. They also advertise that spart ops comes with halo 4 - nowhere in their advertising do I see you have to be plugged into the internet and a gold membership is required. We have Chart_r and they are pretty bad, sometimes our cable is out for 3 days straight and guess what - we don’t get to use the content that we paid for. This simply needs to be available online and offline. Where did you get that this is dlc? I want 100% of the game i paid for. All content is on disk 2.

All other DLC can be played offline. It’s called a download. There’s no harm in adding it as an option for Spartan Ops.
-
Most people don’t have Gold. Most people only play single player (said by Frankie himself). All other DLC can be accessed by Silver members.
-
They can foresee the servers going down, which is inevitable. There goes a huge chunk of your game.

Not everyone can afford everything, you know?
Yes I agree but isn’t it dlc, how would you get it?
> Yes I agree but isn’t it dlc, how would you get it?
Connect to the internet, download it, play when you want. Just like all other DLC.
BTW, I made a similar thread a while ago and it’s still going. From the looks of things, most people agree. It might be an idea to pool our resources and unify our efforts. I could help our feelings be noticed.
I guess they should all take another season break for valentines day too. When does Christmas last 2 1/2 months? My point is, if they planned on this long vacation with so many problems with the game then they should have postponed the game release. If they released it right before the holidays without having a team to fix issues then that is their own fault - and it shows. They have lost so much fanbase and loss of players because majority are getting fed up. I wouldn’ve rather waited another year for an epic game as they advertised instead of a beta - half baked game. They rushed this game to compete with COD and for Christmas sales so I have no sympithy at all. This game was released unfinished and whoever the testers of the game are - they didn’t do a very good job either. Even the servers seem like they are all on vacation.

Advertising quite clearly states:
> Extend your Halo 4 experience in a massive-scale adventure that builds upon the campaign. A weekly series of cinematic episodes on Xbox LIVE followed by new game play missions will keep you playing.
and
> *Online multiplayer and Spartan Ops requires Xbox LIVE Gold membership (sold separately).
>
> Minimum 8GB USB Flash Drive or Xbox 360 Hard Drive required for Halo Infinity Multiplayer.
>
> For an optimal experience, play with Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

^Expecting people to read, come on man, you overestimate the abilities of many people.
I’m still kind of baffled that you can’t play it offline!

Wow, so quick to bash me - here is the advertisment - tell me where you see you have to be online or have a gold membership. It says " Included in Halo 4". I’ve never even seen the video above - have no idea where you got it. This video was the one on waypoint. Now watch and tell me if I don’t know how to read before you insult. here is the link for advertisment video. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztq2amQMlUQ

Sorry - here is my source - tell me where it says that you have to have gold or be online on this advertisment - the one I’m posting is the one that was on waypoint. Watch this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztq2amQMlUQ

I completely agree, they can make it work like they did with Firefight in Halo: Reach.
I’ve already played the first 4 missions of episode 6 and it has gotten MUCH better. Offline play is not crucial, but would be nice. Also, did anyone notice that MM for SpOps today was Legendary instead of Heroic? I am happy with that but I thought it was kind of odd to just change the difficulty.
