WE WANT HUGE OPEN MAPS!

We want at least one huge open map. Like Blood Gulch, except twice the size and twice as awesome. Maybe it wouldn’t belong in MM, but it would be damn fun. Huge vehicle battles would be so much fun on a huge map.

I love open maps because you can just mess around with friends get rid of any rage you have from competitive playlists, and have epic battles… If they have a big map like Blood Gultch i just hope they add more air vehicles (multiperson vehicles for air battles would be cool)

Coagulation isn’t blood gulch. While still terrible it wasn’t completely reetaarded**.

And blood gulch is no trademark map. It’s a terrible map and it plays extremely terribly in an online environment.

OP. Valhalla’s size is the way to go for BTB.

Small competitive maps are the only way to go. They are already basically making a COD/BF3 clone. At least give me small symmetrical maps so I can still believe in what Halo used to be, and not just a casual gamer game. I’m sorry, but big open maps are a terrible idea.

I prefer smaller arena style maps

In reach the remake did’t have bad spawns imo and its a larger map meaning more area for spawn points and a less of a chance an enemy will be near ready to kill you. A lot of people that i know like it and people ive played with on live very few disliked it

PS these big open maps have been here from CE and halo 1 b4 Battlefield just fyi :smiley:

There should be a majority of small-medium sized symmetrical maps. Those really work best in Halo, for all gametypes.

It’s one of the easiest maps to spawn kill on.

Out of the six spawn locations, you only need a single player in 2 locations on the map to see every single spawn.

Even when playing 4v4 Team Snipers on that map my team spawn kills the opposition.

Big and open maps for forging, sure. Big, open maps for playing on? No.

I am not a BTB guy at all. I’m okay with maybe 2 to 3 maps dedicated to big team battles for when I play it occasionally, but I’d like everything else BTB to be made in a forge world equivalent.

Yeah, I do not want a “huge open map” because largely open maps have terrible gameplay. If you want a big open map, then make a large octagon map…

You making your point its easy to spawncamp in games were the teams aren’t larger than competitive matches. O your spawn camping on snipers? Maybe its because your on a map intended for big team and u have a long range sniper… PS snipers on that map is terrible. Go play reach in big team on it and if you get spawn camped once within 2 games save the clip and send it to me cuz i play it all the time and never get spawn camped. You see with 8 people against 8 other people on that map fighting takes place all over the place unlike close quarters maps meaning! You spawn away from action towards the back of your base the only way you’d get spawn camped is if they had every single vehicle and sniper and you wherent even playing.

Dont reply saying “But in this playlist with 4v4’s or 5v5s i spawn camp people” Big maps = big playlist and team size

Octogon is just pure spawn camping lol its fun but big maps in halo are usually intended for vehicle use :stuck_out_tongue: and by open i think he mightve ment very few buildings

The thing about those is that even though they are quite large, they also have a lot of cover and the topography is varied. That’s why those maps work.
