We really need to start listening to the community. I’ve been playing halo for 20+ years and not having a Ranked System like all of the other Halo games really causes people like me to leave. Ranked Doubles, Ranked Slayer, etc… You want your players back… you know the ones that keep your daily active player count up…
Fix the underlying issue…
Apparently to the fourm goers here we aren’t important enough to focus on. Halo for a very long time had more than one ranked playlist and it’s sad to see that we are being thrown into the wind
The community staff barely looks at waypoint. I’m not sure how they are collecting feedback from this site when you have people like sketch not logging in since January 21st. Must be nice. 
Because they all know what’s coming. We don’t have the road map but they do. That’s why there is silence because no words is going to change how the content is laid out

They’re definitely going to add more Ranked playlists over time.
I personally think that it should be competitive Ranked, Snipers, and a competitive FFA mode but they’ll likely experiment over time.
Again, understand that 1 ranked playlist has different queue options, which separates the playerbase (thus impacting the matchmaking/ranked system) so I don’t think that them have more than 5 at one time is a good idea. Ranked 2v2’s would 100% work though because far fewer players required to make it work compared to 4v4 playlists.
What do you mean it has different queue options? I can’t see that I say I only want slayer matches…
When you play solo or duo in a fire team you will match with other solo and duos in arena. This helps solo and duo players not face a full team of four. Once you have 3 players and above in your fireteam you then face full 4 man teams
I guess I understand that… I wish I paid $60 for just another halo game instead of this junk of just trying to make me purchase pointless cosmetics
The devs really think their community are kids, or grandpas. They need to realise we have a functioning brain, give us more, more of everything. Make it complicated, we will understand it, dont worry.
every ranked playlist will basically have 3 different playlists within it. Controller, KBM, and open queue. They cannot realistically have more than a few playlists because it would just be too few players to support a Ranked playlist. So if you have 4 Ranked playlists it’ll actually be 12, so you see why having too many wouldn’t be good for the game.
We really need more ranked playlists. Its so hard to try and do well in a match when youre genuinely not having fun. Its just frustrating.
The franchise just needs to die at this point. It’s over.
I’m sorry… you are very confusing… you just said you wanted more ranked and now you’re like… let’s limit it… I understand what you are saying but team doubles wouldn’t need to be limited.
He’s saying that when input choices finally come it’ll spilt the playlist into 3 sub playlists which is why he thinks it’ll be too much for a lot of ranked playlists like we had in the past

Same here. But what he saying is when that option does come to not have crossplay it’ll split the player base within one playlist therefore splitting it further if you keep adding playlists. I want a ton of ranked playlists but I do get what he’s saying. The modes have to be choosen carefully
There is a limit to how many playlists the game can support (based on population numbers) so having too many would not be ideal nor would too few.
It isn’t a black and white issue, its a grey area and the argument is what the exact sweet spot is.
Agreed. One of my favorite things about Halo was the journey of ranking up in each playlist.
I don’t care that much about ranked. But there are so many issues that shouldn’t even be issues that it hurts.
