Who wants to see Crimson in Halo 5?

Eh sure why not. I wouldn’t mind seeing The Rookie either.
I would like to play them again, but I prefer having a Spartan I can make my own.
I like crimson because I can say, my Spartan. I want them to return.
Which is why I say pull a Halo Reach and make their appearances vary in cut-scenes based on the players’/s customization.

This

and this.
The whole “My Spartan” thing needs to stay.
I really don’t, I hate characters who have no backstory or personality, that’s why I hate Bungies games so much, they miss good chances for character development in the games making you need to read the books
I really wouldn’t mind if the whole “My Spartan” thing regarding Crimson was ditched in the next game. It could be interesting to see all of their backstories and character’s fleshed out and might finally put an end to people’s misconceptions regarding the Spartan IVs considering all I ever see on this forum is “The Spartan IVs suck, they’re useless dudebros”.
I think in campaign co-op everybody except the master chief would be their multiplayer character, like in Reach. This could be justified as Crimson helping the chief out, if it was addressed at all.

THIS!
Also, My Crimson Team. (Yes, Naomi-010 is Squad Leader for the Requiem Campaign.)
The explanation behind their armor is that they are all Spartans from either the S-IIIs (David, Valens, Nathan and Rosenda) or the S-IIs (Cody and Naomi) and prefer the modular, more streamlined Mark V and VI models as opposed to the newer GEN-2s which operate in specific variants, and their excuse is they’ve just grown too accustomed to them, unlike the new S-IVs which have adapted to the new armor in conjunction with their new augmentations (I’m assuming SPARTANS from previous S-Programs don’t receive anymore augs if they already have theirs’ from said programs.)
If Crimson comes back can we please get a fifth member whether it is an AI character or a playable character.
Why do Majestic and Castle get five Spartans? Is there supposed to be a set number of Spartans in each Fire team or does it vary and why would it? As far as I can tell Spartan teams can vary from two to six. Why?
I understand why it would be difficult putting our custom spartans in a cut scene but what about those short scenes before a Spartan ops mission starts when you have AI characters doing things inside the games engine. That might be doable but I really have no idea what I’m talking about when it comes to this stuff.
And could we have some missions with Miller? I feel like he should be doing more than working on a desk.

We don’t get five characters in Fireteam Crimson because Halo’s AI Code can only handle four players. This is the same reason on why we can only have up to 4 player in co-op.
Also, the reason that our Custom Spartans aren’t in the Majestic Cutscenes is because those are CGI rendered cutscenes. While you may be wondering, “but our Noble Six was in cutscenes…?” That was possible because the cutscenes in Halo Reach were actually using the in-game engine, not externally streamed CGI films.
If the AI can only handle 4 enemies…how does it handle 4 players + marines?
> If the AI can only handle 4 enemies…how does it handle 4 players + marines?
I was referring to a “player,” not an AI. The AI has to make extremely complex calculations and functions for it to effectively combat an opponent that can make an endless amount of actions (the player) rather than fighting a programmed AI that follows a limited and definite amount of actions (like a Marine AI)
Basically, the enemy AI uses two completely different programming lines for fighting the player or fighting a friendly AI. The enemy AI must quickly adapt and adjust to player actions, which requires highly adaptable yet consistent programming. However, when it fights a friendly AI, it follows a different set of programming that is linked directly to the friendly AI’s programming - this allows for both AI factions to function better.
Also, the programming for fighting a player takes priority over the programming for fighting a friendly AI. This is part of why Halo is infamous for having terrible friendly AIs, the programming for them is put through a bottle neck due to the enemy AI using the programming for fighting the player.
pesonallty, the my little spartan idea is pointless
I would prefer blue team over crimson… But Crimson appearing would be an interesting experience.

I did say an AI controlled fifth member for Crimson would be good too plus who says that the four player limit wont change in Halo 5.
And I’m also aware that it would be difficult to put our custom Spartans in cut scenes. I was referring to the to the short scenes at the start of each S ops mission after we select our load outs, these take place within the games engine not a CGI cut scene so I believe that this is more doable. You can actually see your spartan sitting in a Pelican in the last one of these scenes in S ops season one so I have evidence that says it’s possible. But my knowledge on how this stuff works is limited.
I’d hate to be blunt but you’ve seemed to have misread my post.
SpOps was born from Halo 4, concidering 343’s lack of interest in making a season 2, its a possibility that SpOps could be dropped in Halo 5.
Anyway, the problem with Crimson showing up anywhere bit the SpOps mission is that you would have to canonise them. Unless 343 decided that it is a good use of time to run a code that reaches back to your H4 game save data, just for a 5 second cameo appearance in , then so be it.
Its the same as Noble 6, they don’t show up anywhere else others than the Reach campaign because 343 would have to canonise their gender and armour set, making the whole ‘my Spartan’ thing pointless.
SpOps missions, fine. Anywhere else, no.

Or they don’t have enough time to develop a whole new season in Halo 4 without crippling the new Halo game

That still counts as a lack of interest.
Either way, we probably wont see a Season 2.
