I believe clans will benefit and help “revive” the halo series.
Everyone wants to be a part of something.
It will increase the competitiveness.
There are quite a few other games with clans/squads. If 343 can perfect this system, I see a lot of players staying for a long, long time.
Regardless if the game isn’t the best in gameplay or in ranking.
Even with all this good stuff being said, I imagine someone out there is going to trololol.
While I don’t really care if there are or aren’t squads, please do not say “We”, as you can not know weather or not every one wants something.
TL;DR Speak for yourself.
Please do not speak for everyone. I’m a part of the human race, and not without protest, mind you.

Or a lot more people with matching gamertags and armor colors.

I hate clans. I once joined a clan and I was told that I had to change my armor color, my emblem and that I couldn’t play any other game but Halo for an extended period of time. Needless to say, I got the hell out of there.

I’ll keep that in mind next time.
If people don’t care/don’t want to be in one, than it won’t effect them in anyway.
Rather than something that is actually in games.

So there being clans in H4 shouldn’t effect you if you never join one.
I’m all for clans and customizable assets, but then again, I’m part of a Gaming Community which, like it sounds, is not tied to a single game, so if Halo 4 doesn’t feature things like that, we’ll still be playing it and enjoying the various symbols we can use to make it work.
How can anyone not agree with this? (That means I support the suggestion)
In the aftermath of Halo 2 people have been forced to make silly changes to their gamertags in order to get recognized as part of a clan, and the friends list is simply overflowing now that you don’t have a good tool to keep track of your clan’s members.
Your gamertag is the same regardless of which game you play, and should thus not be affiliated especially with one specific game. And what do you do if you’re in two different clans in two different games?
As for the friend’s list thing, I have a good amount of people I enjoy playing with, but my friend’s list is only for my close friends. You shouldn’t be forced to make your friend’s list into a roster, but the current alternative is to memorize dozens of GTs and manually check each one through xbox.com or whatever to see if they’re on Halo or not.

I think my problem is that since it’ll be so easy to make a clan, every 12 year old will make one and continuously spam everyone on their Recent Players list. It’s like those “Posse” invites from Red Dead Redemption. You cannot go into a Free Roam lobby without getting a ton of posse invites, even if you are in one of your own.

A valid point. Hopefully they will have some sort of fail-safe like, if you are in a clan you will ignore invites and that there is an option for you to ignore clan invites altogether, so that you may be able to play solo without the non-stop harassment. (AKA WoW’s systems for handling Guild invites)
Im 50/50 on this. I liked the H2 clan system. However if they add a clan feature the forums will have even more people in here saying things like this. “I’m the leader of the wolfpacktryhard1337 clan and trying to recruit. Please no one under 16 apply and for more info contact GT Num Nuts650987”. We’ve all seen them, but I believe it would just start a massive Lol clans epidemic. The madness must end.
But in all seriousness I guess it would be alright. Like I previously said H2 clans were cool. Wouldn’t mind it coming back.
