The lack of content and even basic things like adding playlists tells me that they aren’t confident of adding anything without the game collapsing like a pack of cards. They’ve already admitted that they are limited by the UI so I can’t for one second believe or think that it’s a case of that they don’t want or don’t think they need to…it’s a simple case of they don’t know how to without breaking the game.

What would be the point?

Your rank is basically universal across all playlists anyway. Even the ones that don’t show your rank. The way it seems to work you basically would end up at the same place in every playlist anyway.

Does it really matter if it shows your rank?

  1. people like to play a variety of different game types with different weapon options, and this game currently is an empty shell that doesn’t satisfy that basic criteria.

  2. regardless of how the hidden MMR ranking mechanics may or may not work, players like to earn a visible rank in specific game types. As an example, lots of players dislike objective game modes but they love Team Slayer…but to play Ranked Team Slayer you have no choice but to play roulette with the only playlist that is also full of objective game types.

  3. lots of players dislike the AR and Sidekick starts and much prefer BR. Sure you can play TS in Social but you’re out of luck if you to only play TS with BR starts.

It just gives you something to grind for and a visible rank means bragging rights. It just makes it more fun. I like team hardcore but sometimes id also like to play normal halo with radar and a full sandbox. Without the visible rank the incentives not there for me, its boring

It does to me. Even if only I can see it in the " social playlists". I like something to work toward if I feel inclined to.

Why did Infinite need a new engine if it’s THIS hard to make changes? Imagine Halo Infinite on the Unreal 5 engine!

I have absolutely no idea. Apparently Halo5 used Blam and Halo Infinite uses Slipspace…but let’s have it, the whole Infinite saga has been a total mismanaged cluster from start to finish. People should lose their jobs over this.
