But if it wasn’t for Microsoft, Halo3 or perhaps ODSt would have been Bungies last Halo game. Bungie is not all to blame, they were forced to create 2 more Halo games even though they wanted to move on from halo.

Haha, I’ve seen both and, trust me when I say this, this time it is like 1000x worse.

microsoft pushed them to make more games? why though?

Well, it is Microsoft we’re talking about here.

It was part of the deal. Two more Halo games and they could become independent.

Sadly yes :frowning:

But that was after Halo:Reach, the 2nd game of their deal with Microsoft.

I could see them being attached to a call of duty game… which would be bad…

Sorry kiddies, this is the real world. You don’t get a gold star for participation and a pink flower for trying your best.

If you do stupid -Yoink-, you deserve to be berated endlessly for it. It’s the only way you’re not going to do the same crap again.

I’ve taken a few seminars here and that say though your first statement is very true, your second statement would indicate you feel negative reinforcement is more effective than positive.

First of all please do not hurt my -Yoink!- ears by saying that.

But yeah that would be bad, however I am 100% sure that will not happen. Have you ever seen the details they showed about their next game? It was a picture with a turbine thingy and an emblem.

Oh look, it’s that response again.

I don’t need to know how to code a game to know how to make a good game.

I don’t need to jump off a bridge to know it’s a bad idea.

lol

Well here is the link:

http://www.1up.com/news/first-screenshot-bungie-new-game-codenamed-tiger

Yep play nice, these people work really hard to make these games and we just complain
and troll and not be thankful.

Even if the game does suck they still worked really hard at it.
You cant make a game that everyone likes.

Plus if you dont like a game, go play something you do like or pick up a programming book
and make a game!

> Yep play nice, these people work really hard to make these games and we just complain
> and troll and not be thankful.

LOL.

Last time I checked we didn’t get games for free , we owe them nothing.

There are some people like that around here, too :frowning:

Wow and I thought the trolls on here were bad O.o

> Last time I checked we didn’t get games for free , we owe them nothing.

If I understood you correctly, you wouldn’t care if we didn’t have these games at all, right? I mean, that’s exactly why we owe them everything, withoutgame developers we would have no games to play.

The fact that you dislike something, or know someone is wrong, doesn’t mean you have to be disrespectful to them. If you were in school, got an F from a mathematics exam, wouldn’t it feel depressing if your teacher came to tell you how badly you suck at mathematics and that you can’t even do the simplest calculations? You’d probably think the teacher is a total jerk, so would everyone else who aren’t even part of the whole situation. Now apply this to the current situation where you are the teacher and 343i is the pupil.

So instead of telling 343i how bad they are at game design if they make a few bad decisions, why wouldn’t you tell why their decisions were bad in a civilized tone? At the moment, no one would honestly take your opinion seriously seeing how much of a jerk you try to be.

On topic: it’s sad, but I’m rather sure that there are some people who feel like that towards Sage Merril, the sandbox designer of Reach. Luckily, they seem to be few in numbers. But indeed, we should never bash game developers for their mistakes but encourage them to become better at their job. There is no reason to be disrespectful, especially when you haven’t even made a single game yourself.
