We should just call it "Slayer: Infinite" at this point. (an Objective-only playlist is needed)

FFA, Swat, Fiesta…Every new playlist added tomorrow is a form of slayer/deathmatch. This game type is already included in every, single playlist the game currently has. However, if someone just wants to play Objectives, it’s not possible. They must suffer through the occasional, mindless Slayer match, regardless. Baffling, considering that this was also the case for Halo 5 over the course of it’s entire life cycle.

The thing is, just as there are many people that never want to play Objective games, there’s also many long-time fans that would prefer to never play Slayer at all, if given the choice. There is a sizeable portion of the community that only wants to play Objective matches in Halo. Just as some fans only go for kills instead of playing the objective, there are fans that literally quit out of games (risking the ban hammer) so they don’t have to play Slayer.

Love the gameplay overall. But it’s beyond disappointing that the first playlist update doesn’t contain an option for Objective-only, while it provides 4 separate variations of Slayer (how much Slayer does one need?).

Even though the variations of Objective matches are much more disparate than any Slayer variation, they can’t even provide 1 playlist that lumps all Objectives together. I can’t even imagine them doing a separate playlist for each Objective type (CTF, Strongholds, Oddball etc).

Adding to the disappointment, is that after 6 years of an Objective-only playlist being entirely absent from Halo 5, this wasn’t remedied at Infinite’s launch and still doesn’t look to be a consideration for the immediate future, let alone the priority it should be.

Please make this right. Make it make sense. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
