There’s not much else to say. I’ve seen a few posts showcasing that the new “fix” actually results in people getting less XP over time 🤦
Even with this “fix” though, you’re literally getting a reward for completing the game. I can literally set up a macro to re-enter matchmaking and be afk and farm XP albeit not as much by doing the arbitrary, boring, and outright annoying challenges but ez XP nonetheless.
I don’t want to just get x amount of credits for just being there when the game ends. I want my performance to mean something. Otherwise, I can just sit in a match and move around a bit while watching YouTube on my phone and have a more enjoyable experience.
There is no incentive to actually try in the game aside from winning. That only appeals to one type of player, not the ones who like to progress and unlock things. You can’t even capitalize on bragging rights anymore since there’s no general text chat to say “gg” in.
I’m afraid the resistance to back down and admit they are making a bad, greed driven decision is going to result in a dead player base down the line.
