just for a little bit don’t you agree
Jorge could breathe in space, but water is a spartans kryptonite.
> Jorge could breathe in space, but water is a spartans kryptonite.
Jorge never ‘breathed in space.’ Please tell me you’re not one of those ‘HE SURVIVED!!!’ people…
In halo 1-3 you could go underwater, I don’t get why going for a swim is so lethal.
The water isn’t lethal, the killzones in it are.
There is a spot on Forgeworld that is great for underwater maps, actually.

Yes he did!
When he drifted from the Sabre to the Slipspace bomb. Please dont tell me youre one of these idiots who just people to start fights.
He had his helmet on while he drifted from the sabre to the pelican in Long Night of Solace. They had to have limited oxygen in their suits while in the sabres/in space on top of the corvette. But you have to remember that that limited supply of air is LIMITED. If Jorge did survive he wouldn’t last very long without a supply of replacement oxygen, since you can’t breath CO2.

Where?
In reality, a SPARTAN-II and likely a SPARTAN-III, would never go it water that was too deep. They weigh so much that they would probably just sink to the bottom and stay there. Main reason is for game-play purposes.
Natasatchaa is right, I’ve made maps there, but it is outside the kill boundary.

Of course he had his helmet on, and so would you if entering water. Jorge living or dying is not what is in question. If a spartan could breathe in space, a spartan could breathe underwater. That is the point.
Spartans sink like a stone in water. If you had the ability to freeze the surface of the water then…
Lol, the number one weakness.
It is not so much realistic but I mean… People complain about head glitching all the the team… No what if so one head gliched in the water? Getting sniped by an enemy that you cannot see and going after would more than likely mean death for you to would be horrendous

Teleport out of invisible barrier near the island and close to the soft killzone is safe water.

Why would I need a helmet to dive into water? I think you missed my point. I said they have a limited air supply in their suits which they would need to replenish eventually. You run out of air whether in space or underwater, you’ll suffocate/drown and die.
Maybe in halo 4 they could have an oxygen bar so if you go underwater you can stay there without dying for a limited amount of time instead of ‘falling to my death’.
That power armour probably doesn’t help buoyancy.
> That power armour probably doesn’t help buoyancy.
It’s too bad too cuz’ I remember in CE driving a hog with 2 marines into the water in the silent cartographer until they were fully submerged, and they didn’t die. Neither did I! I loved how weapon sound effects were muffled if fired underwater. Imagine Jorge under water. He’d sink so fast he’d crack the tectonic plate in half when he hit the bottom.

Strange I guess master chief was immune to water since he made 3 successful games without dieing under water. It’s down to Reachs physics’s, the pointless boundaries everywhere even on a random tree in the middle of nowhere.

Don’t get me started on the bounderies. I hate it so much that I cannot explore each map especially in the campaign. In forge world some of the best areas are out of bounds. You have any idea how awesome it would be to have a map with the waterfall in forge world going through the map? I’m really disappointed that you can’t play on or around any of the forerunner towers visable in forge world. And of course playing underwater. So many possabilites knocked out. I wish 343 could remove all kill bounderies from forge world at least to build maps and make them a part of the terrain.
reason why 343 is not going to make it so spartans can breath underwater is because 1 spartans do not contain bouyancy the main aspect of floating 2 reason it would just be extremely pointless and a complete waste of coding 3 reason if you noticed i dont think spartans could swim going with the first main reason why and the final thing it just doesnt seem important if you can swim or not i do know the community has alot of ideas but the one thing you really got to look at is this the deadline of the game being produced as well as the time the effort i know that over 200 plus people are working on the halo 4 project but the one main aspect is this the time to go into it and if you are trying to imply adding a update there is no way because 343 is strictly focused on halo 4 thats why there will not be the abillity
