We really need to have an option in our settings to TURN OFF cross-play

Opinions said politely are perfectly fine and welcome.

Opinions said impolitely with unnecessary insult are just a sign that the person is just a child with a keyboard.

Your opinion is very much valid my friend.

Edit - The problems I encounter are accuracy issues at long range, and player spin-speeds when it comes to close range combat. The enemy spartan able to spin at mach 7 to do a 180-degree turn to face me after noticing my approach on radar for a back-slap is INFURIATING because as a controller player, your spin speed is limited to how fast your joystick sensitivity and acceleration are set to.

In Halo 5 it was worse as the max speed in Halo 5’s controller camera speed was GODLY SLOW, which makes me thankful that I didn’t have to fight PC players in Halo 5’s multiplayer.

i personaly do not mind cross play…
but i gotta admit, a option to dissable it is needed. advantage or not. it is needed. if MCC and sodding COD has it, why not Infinite?

Are you actually getting your butt kicked by PC players a bunch, or is this some theoretical rant?

I am getting my rear sliced off, cooked by a french rat, and then served to Gordon Ramsey on a silver platter.

M&K is already something I hate having to deal with on occasion when people cheated on Rainbow Six to use it on consoles. Whenever a game announces cross-play, I then IMMEDIATELY turn that crap off because it only makes the game worse for the most part.

The only way cross-play is acceptable for PC linking with Console is outside of shooter games.
Among Us? That is a game of minigames and analytical thinking, not skill with accuracy and aim.
Elder Scrolls? An RPG game with magic, bows, and swords.

In a shooter game, I have found that aiming is MUCH EASIER on M&K than with joysticks.

There is mountains of videos showcasing the abhorently powerful aim assist that gamepads get in this game, regardless of platform. I don’t agree with calling people bums, but you are willfully blind if you can’t see this bias. The fact that ranked is the only mode that has input based matchmaking is absurd. Socials are sweatier than ranked, because M&K players like myself have to contend with being beamed down at will by anyone on gamepad.

I get this franchise is the reason that console shooters became viable and as big as they are today, but if they are making a game cross-platform, they can’t favour one input just because if the history or impact it has had over the years. Not saying thats the reason crossplay toggle isn’t a thing, but people make that argument a lot.

Yea there is the whole hackers being Rampant on PC… It’s more commonly found on PC so… it makes sense why Cross play should be an Option.

I mean honestly I’m ok with just playing with other Xbox players…

I don’t need to play against PC players and if I could turn it off I would. Just to get the doubt of Hackers. Hell maybe the Ping would be better too.

Just kinda weird how you seem bothered by people wanting the option to turn off Cross Play… Like it won’t affect you if your on PC

If you cant beat a controller player with a mouse and keyboard you should take your PC to the nearest dump.

Truthfully I can’t tell the difference between MnK and controller like at all can’t tell the difference between them

I use to wipe the floor with my kid in H4 and 5. He now plays infinite on PC I play on console. He’s D5 and I’m P5. So I think MnK may have something to do with that.

Playing FFA slayer has really shown how bad the problem is. M/KB players dominate when there’s a decent one in the match. I’ve been playing online since 3, and firefights with pc players are the most difficult I’ve ever had. A mouse is just faster and more precise.

EXACTLY the reason why it was considered to be cheating to use M&K on console BEFORE developers started to allow cross-platform play.

Take a look at Rainbow Six Siege, a game where head-shot accuracy is a defining factor in determining who is the winner of the match. I’ve been playing that game since Year 2 and you can DEFINITELY tell when an M&K player is on your match. Usually because you are the victor of the match with “SwaggersMcGee99” having a K/D of 12-1.

If you hate it so bad then buy a mouse and keyboard, plug it into your Xbox and learn it.

I’ve played m&k for the last 4 years exclusively UNTIL Infinite came out and I realized what the better input is.

Look up the stats on which input has the lead for the most accuracy currently and try to tell us all with a straight face that crossplay toggles should be in the game.

A lot of yall that cry about m&k would be using some other excuse for why you’re dying so much a week after you get the toggle.

No disrespect here but just put in more practice, sure you can 180 someone fast on m&k but does it matter if you don’t even land the shots you try to make?

I’ve played M&K on other games before back when I had a decent PC (collapsed roof killed my setup thanks to heavy rains and poor construction).

Back in 2014 I was a NIGHTMARE on Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike.
Playing those games on Xbox, they definitely lack something in terms of “Accuracy”.

And my concern isn’t just on accuracy, but I also point out that spin-speed applies as well. A mouse allows you to move the camera as fast as you can move the mouse. While joysticks are restricted to how the developers allow you to adjust your look sensitivity and acceleration.

I play R6 Siege on console, and with max speed settings of Halo 5 and Halo Infinite’s joysticks on the Series X, it is barely faster than the default camera speed in Rainbow Six (which is 50/100 while my personal settings are set to 85/100).

The fact of the matter is that in Halo Infinite, a game where being slapped in the back is an instant kill and being shot from behind seems to drain my shields faster than if I were facing my enemy; the faster your can spin around and face your aggressor means you are far more likely to survive.

Dont pc players originally get a pc to get a advantage over everyone? Oh and obviously look down at everyone , ironic thing is the series x runs it better than a pc and that makes my heart warm

Its good until desync kicks in. Then aim assist will randomly switch on and off. One second your aim is perfect, the next you can’t even hit center mass.

Sorry but you’re wrong. Controller has a distinct advantage.

KB/M sucks for Halo.

No, I got a PC because it’s convenient for me as an artist lol.

Regardless of who has the advantage. Halo has ALWAYS been a game about equal starts. Cross play might as well be loadouts.

Exactly. You would never get players playing on different platform in eSports because even though you’re playing the same game, you’re playing by different rules…and that is not balanced.

I’ve always been against crossplay and my experience with COD and Halo simply reinforces that mindset.

I mean I’d rather only play with other people on PC anyways.
