We really need a custom games browser to launch alongside Forge for once

Am I the only one dreading the high probability of Forge releasing without a custom games browser? I love custom games and I have a ton of fun with them in MCC but that is only because I can easily find games to play. I don’t have massive friend groups to play halo with so without a custom games browser in Infinite the benefits provided by Forge would be greatly reduced for me.

343 dragged their feet when it came to a custom games browser for H5/MCC so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the same here and are planning to push it back to later seasons to cut corners. It sucks because to many of us it is an essential gateway to a big part of the game but 343 has never really seen it that way.

Now I could be entirely wrong about all of this and we will be able to enjoy a custom games browser alongside Forge in season 3 but it is something I can’t help but be a little bit cautious about knowing 343’s track record.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up regarding either. Talking about dragging their feet, there’s no reason to expect them to do anything with common sense. They already dropped the ball by releasing the game with no content, so expecting them to add customs browser with forge is a tall order.

I was contemplating the same thing yesterday when 343i released the weekly blog which gave an update on forge. For people who don’t have many friends playing Infinite, trying to play forge maps will be difficult. Hope they release a custom game browser with forge in season 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the 343i forge maps make it into matchmaking, but I’m more interested in what the community makes.

In their latest blog post they said “Terrific experience creating, sharing, browsing, and playing Forge content”

Maybe I’m getting my hopes up over poor wording but man I hope this means we are getting a custom games browser alongside forge in S3.

We can only hope. So far updates and content have been lackluster for Infinite. Have to stay optimistic
