We quit every join in progress game

My friends and myself always quit every join in progress game. I’m not picking up the slack for other players and when I have a party of 3-4 players and we join in progress its pretty clear that we will be losing right off the bat.

I’d say 1/10 games we are still winning. And out of those 1/10 games about half of them they have the flag on their side ready to score.

So yeah. I’m taking a stand against join in progress with my friends.

I will always quit out of join in progress games. I dont care if I’m winning. I want to pick where I play and how the game plays out.

Before you go on a hunger strike just know that they put the quit ban back in and I believe it’s something like an hour before you can start another game now.

I don’t really like JiP either but since winning is pretty much irrelevant in Halo 4 I just play and get the XP.

I’ve been doing it for a while, nothing happened yet, I dont care though honestly. Its not really in the halo spirit for me personally to be thrown into something that is not my progress.

this game, tells you that your joining a game in progress. before you even load into the game.

before you can pick a weapon, know the score or even see what color team your on

it flat out spells it out for you that your in a JOIN IN PROGRESS LOBBY.

so, why quit out of a game, when you can just back out to the lobby with like 4 clicks of a button

I have trouble quitting, in Reach I was one of those last guys in BTB when facing a party of 8, fight to the death everytime screw win/loss. I only quit when the point difference between my team and theirs is more than 100% if a skilled player can’t carry a team of noobs 9/10 you will lose no matter if you have positive 30+.

That’s wonderful for you. Your poll also doesn’t include an occasionally option which is what I do. Also I’m sorry to say but JiP isn’t the only time I have to pick up the slack for others. Just because it is JiP doesn’t make it any worse or better really.

Why don’t you just do what everyone else does and switch your connection to my Xbox so you don’t have this problem and don’t get put in JiP matches. I honestly don’t see the point in complaining about it it’s one match big deal! I am pretty sure my w/l is horribly negative, but I don’t care to a certain extent as long as I do well and I am not matched with people who have brains the size of peanuts(which is unfortunately) a majority of the time.

Of course if 343 implemented party v party matchmaking everything would be better…

I feel you 100% dude I am in that same boat. My friend and I were always the last guys in Reach. People quit invasion all the time and it was so annoying! It got so bad that for a stretch of time I would message all the teammates who quit, calling them out on it.

If I JIP a game where I have a chance of coming back and winning I will stay and try my best FTW. Come from behind wins are the best.

If I JIP a match that is almost over then I will quit. There’s just no sense in staying in an unwinnable(<I just made that up,lol) match when I could just save time and move on to the next match.

Usually yes. You might be what that team needs to come back from losing. Or maybe the match will end really quickly and you’ll get a bunch of XP for doing virtually nothing.

Either way I love JIP. I have some friends with some sketchy ISPs and if they DC they can come back and finish the fight. We just have to play back for a quick second before they rejoin on us.

JIP is not as good an idea as the community thought it would be. Plenty of times I end up the MVP on my team when I JIP, and we almost always lose. It works perfectly sometimes in the middle or beginning of a match when the score is even, but it causes just as much pain as not having it.

Eh, I hate being a quitter, so no, I don’t ever quit games, even JiP games.

Even if I really, reeeaally hate JiP games.

I dont quit JIP games but because of JIP, i dont play objective gametypes that often. I understand why Halo 4 has it but it makes some gametypes hard to play

i don’t play join in progress games, i notice i am joining and i change from xbox live to my xbox. which kicks you out of the join in progress screen. also i hate when i am not paying attention and they put me in a IBTS game and all the power weapons and the vehicles are gone. i mean really wants the point of it?

Yes, but I don’t like it when the game puts me in games that are in-progress.

Lately I’ve been backing out of join in-progress games by switching from Xbox LIVE to “My Xbox” to prevent me from going into the game. Apparently you need to complete 1000 FULL matches to be able to enter that one ONI code.

I try a go in as a team. Join in progress in the worst thing in this game. so glad its not in ranked games.

343 just can’t seem to make anyone happy huh? I’m glad join in progress is here. I HATED being the only persn in my team in the previous halo games. I got sick of it so damn much. I like that if be of my buddies lag out, I can just invite him right back in. There’s nothing wrong with join in progress.

I like joining games that started already because I can really make a turn around in the game. Aren’t you capable of that?

Did you know that weapons and vehicles respawn?

I don’t mind JIP if the game has just started (like 20-10) but I HATE IT when I get thrown in an ending game. One time I got thrown in a game that literally had 8 seconds left. We lost. I should have gotten 0 XP for that
