Ever get tired of being an awesome driver that never gets credit? With the new Top Medal feature 343i has added to the Carnage Report, players have the ability to see the top accomplishments of other players. Some accomplishments, however, are hardly recognized. I can’t tell you how many times I have driven people and gotten then Invincible medals. The result? They have an awesome Top Medal they can show off, and me…well, I have nothing. If I got that guy an Invincible, shouldn’t I be rewarded for my really good driving? I feel like the best way to be rewarded is to be given Warthog Wheelman Spree medals, which I feel should most certainly be added to Halo 5: Guardians. Halo: Reach had it, so why can’t this game have it as well? For any of you who don’t know, these were the Wheelman medals in Halo: Reach:

Wheelman Spree: Get 5 Wheelman medals in one life. - Road 'Hog: Get 10 Wheelman medals in one life. - Road Rage: *Get 15 Wheelman medals in one life.*I don’t think it would be too hard to add these three medals in, as well as a few more.
What do you guys think? Do you think good drivers deserve to be recognized by other players instead of getting hated on for having fewer kills? Discuss!

I would just like to get assist back for being a driver. I mean without said driving skills you would
not have gotten those kills. We all know a good driver is the difference between 0-1 kills and going on a frenzy+
The drivers are unsung heroes, especially if they can drive and they take you where you need to go to be useful. They should introduce wheelmen medals! It would be a nice addition, and like you said, it wouldn’t be too hard to do

You get points for it in Warzone. As for Arena, I don’t think they plan on counting them as assists. Even if they did, “Wingman” alone is not enough credit.

I am just surprised that 343 didn’t even include these types of medals from the beginning honestly, but no one has really made much complaints for the lack of wheelmen spree medals. But i think it should definitely be added, especially as additional commendations.

Unsung heroes indeed. I hate it when I do such a good job at driving and people start bashing at me because I have few kills. I want people to look at my name and see an Ultra Rare/Legendary medal that shows that I was an awesome driver.

As am I. They were very important medals in Halo: Reach, where vehicle play was greatly encouraged.
Also i’d like to see Warthog assists count in you commendations but thats me being cheeky.

Don’t play warzone a lot to know but still I’m BTB instead of making a strategic route to get you those three kills just now I could have gone forward or off a cliff because without me (saying from a driver point of view. Not me exactly) you wouldn’t still
be alive

Isn’t there a commendation for that? I thought there was.
There is one for wheelman in WZ commendations. If the gunner gets kills you get Wheelman points for each kill.

They really do. And exactly; the gunner would never get so many kills were it not for the driver that made sure that the gunner was able to both stay alive and rack up the kills that he or she did.

What i mean is say you’re driving a guass hog and someone gets the kill, it counts for you guass hog commendation.

I’d settle for getting assists for driving (wheelman = assist) but we don’t even get that anymore. Really pisses me off.

I would like that, but I rarely get a chance to get out of WZ, except for a few Team Arena matches to “warm up” & get that free daily win pack. I see wheelman pop often when I grab a comrade’s Hog & we go ride or die styles.
