Maybe GDC or whatever was a huge early april fools joke. Yet I mean honestly is anyone else disgusting with what they said.
Wanting to make the game even more casual and easy for new players.
Saying nobody likes equal starting weapons is -Yoink- and wrong
Saying they want more nav points, ordnance and hints for newbies is wrong.
How could anyone support this. Even casuals don’t need this much help. I didn’t need help in Halo CE. I didn’t need nav points in Halo 2, I didn’t need hints in Halo 3 or Reach. Why does Halo need all this HUD Clutter and garbage after being FINE after all these years.
I can’t even blame COD either. COD doesn’t even have this much emphasis on helping noobies and punishing veterans. It’s literally like 343 wants to ruin Halo 5 and Halo 6 because they are going to ruin it terribly.
First off they need to realize casuals and COD players will only like Halo for a few weeks until a new shiny game comes out. It’s the core fanbase which they SHOULD be worried about and trying to kiss up to. Because kissing the -Yoinks!- of people who don’t really care about Halo is liking kissing a girl who you know will leave you the next week for another pretty boy.
We really need to tell 343 this is wrong. That they need to make Halo 5 good again. To give players a feeling of work and pride. A feeling that you did something with only yourself, your skill, and your team
The game itself should not be giving you hints, nav points, pointers, and other help. It was NEVER needed in Halo1-Reach. Nobody ever said “Oh god where is this flag go” or “OMG who do I kill” or “Where do I go” NOBODY EVER DID. If 343 thinks any core players need help or new players with pride need it they are beyond wrong
