We need to know what is being fixed

We need to hear more from 343 about what is being fixed or what they are looking at fixing instead of someone saying we hear you but hold on. we have already waited to see what 343 will do with halo and it has slowly slipped more and more into monetization of nostalgia and meme content ( there newest pineapple grenades in the store). i don’t think there has been enough free content made available to justify us having to buy armor and skins just to line someones pockets. i would happily have payed $60 for the multiplayer and $60 for the campaign. In reality if i payed $60 I will only get a armor set i don’t like and some emblems and colors i don’t want to wear. halos fan base is night like fortnight wear the shiny new thing get bought every time we are a older group that understands the value of what we are getting.

They said they’re working on fixing progression, playlists, and reassessing the store. What else do you want them to say they’re working on?

What they said was that all of the things are too dependent on the current model so they can’t just add new playlists in with the press of a button. It’s essentially just “maybe we’ll fix it IF we change all of the other stuff.” I want to have faith in them to do some right moves with it, but don’t read into that statement too much and start assuming things will happen.

i want to hear more on what exactly they are changing and how they are fixing things. i don’t have faith that they will keep up with there game as much as they should. they haven’t had a good track record of making good decisions for halo and a lot of games are becoming fix in progress games instead of work in progress.

For a franchise that has almost always been very modular in its playlist system, the fact that they closely knit all of those systems together is extremely worrying. And as a programmer, I’m ashamed of the people that made it because I was trained in school to keep separate so modules that proved problematic could be swapped in and out with replacements without issue.

Yeah I can agree with that, I barely did any coding between two different intro classes and even I know to keep things separate so it’s not spaghetti code. Possible they just mean in the way everything is balanced, but it’s horribly balanced as is for progression so that’s probably a bad excuse if that is it
