This is coming from someone who has been playing since launch.
I have seen a lot of people being frustrated from not getting what they want from gold packs. Believe me guys Gold Packs are not the way to go. I don’t have the numbers to prove it or how much or long it would take you to complete everything. I wanna relieve the frustration that players have with the req system. You have to start from bronze to make things easier.
Here are my advices:
If you are barely starting out, go for Bronze packs and play Warzone assault if you are used to the game by now.
Bronze: 1250 Chance at 1 permanent common unlock
SIlver: 5000 Contains: Commons, Uncommons, and Rares. Guaranteed 2 permanents.
Gold: 10000 Contains: Uncommons, Rares, Ultra Rare, and Legendary. 2 permanents guaranteed.
Each warzone assault minimum lasts up to 6 minutes, because that is the time it takes for Red team to defend the first objective. Each warzone assault maps gives you roughly below 1500 req points. So every warzone assault match you will be able to purchase a bronze pack. Now of course it is 1 chance at a permanent unlock, however the cost of 4 bronze is equivalent to 1 silver. 1 out of 4 chances you will get a permanent unlock. You may get dead pulls which is okay, but I have found that it didn’t matter. You are constantly buying packs and selling cards you don’t use, that you even forget about dead pulls. I have noticed it, it kept going and going.
Save req boosts and req jackpots until you start on silvers after completing bronze packs. You can sell mission victory, gambits, and what not, but if you have a full fireteam or maybe 9/12 are with you as in a party, then you should probably use it. Better communication and coordination creates a good team and you are guaranteed victory. I have seen it. Someone on the forum posted about having a full fireteam. I forgot who. Sorry LOL
Count the number of req items from the Collection menu or Halo Waypoint. Keep track of it. This alleviates your frustration and gets you to understand that more work is needed to unlock everything.
Don’t buy req packs unless you are for certain that you will know what to get, mainly gold packs. Towards the end, where everything is narrowed down, you have the option to either buy the last few remaining req items (The mythic items) with cash or just grind more req points. Your choice. Because also at the end, there are remaining emblems that are legendary.
Speaking of emblems, not all of the emblems are collected through the req system. More or less than half of the emblems are collected by Commendations + Spartan Ranks. Not CSR ranks, you know your actual level. I believe it is every 10 levels you get an emblem?
Don’t quit a Warzone match. I am able to quit Warzone matches, well idk because I have everything LOL. I know I might get a temporary ban, but eh. Anyways don’t quit them because a loss is 1800 req points. Honestly, I’ll take a loss over nothing any day with Warzone games. Stay in it. Have fun.
