Okay lets assess our situation. We got a lot and I mean a lot of Halo 4 news and info today. Most of it we loved and some of it we had concerns about. The perks and loadouts thing hopefully will not be what we think it is. Because as I heard our old pal frankie in his OXM interview that multiplayer will play more like and be as fast if not faster paced as older halo titles. So lets all chill and review on what have gotten today. So tell me, from what all of you have seen so far, what are your first impressions of Halo 4?
Chief’s armor doesn’t look to good to me and the BR looks pretty bad too. The lack of a beta is bad news and it seems the Single Player is my only saving grace now. So worth the 9 months of waiting to be disappointed.
Let’s all breathe in…
And out. And in…
We’ve been starved of information and we’re eating this new stuff up too fast, that’s why we have such a stomach ache.
I am waiting for more information before I flame on 343 even though I can’t understand how they can read these forums and still put loadouts, “perks”, and sprint in this game. I hope they are trolling us for all the need more info threads.

When do I breathe out? my face is turning purple and I’m scared D;
I’m completely cold and unreceptive on graphics. It’s pretty, but it’s a triple A title, I’m expecting that.
I’m concerned about the core gameplay, how these ‘perks’, customisable loadouts and sprint will effect MP.
My first impression was ‘343i wants CoD’s fanbase’
But I’m patient, I’ll wait for more, then we shall see.

As i said before, these “perks” and “loadouts” are most likely not gonna be what we think they are. But as long as it doesn’t truly change the way your character plays I will still give Halo 4 the benefit of the doubt.

Chief’s armor is very fix-able, the lack of beta does suck and I’m scared for the outcome, but I wouldn’t knock away MP quite yet. Just wait and see.

Let’s face it there is only so many things you can do with loadouts and perks so they can’t be that different from other games that have them. But they might work idk I guess I will have to pay to find out if they aren’t having a beta. Hope 343i doesn’t make me waste 60 dollars cause this will be the last time.

True but I truly believe that this “perk and loudout” system will be like battlefield more than anything else, where you have one perk that gives a significant change to your player without affecting core gameplay. But we all have to wait and see.
What we got today was a little teaser vid that gave us some hints about the game but little certainty.
What it has really given us is a demonstration of how close minded some people in the community are: “They’re trying to turn Multi-Player into a CoD clone!”, “Armour Abilities, which totally suck!, are returning!” and “They’re not changing things the way I think they should!”
Sadly the fact is these people won’t be quiet - heck people who hated anti Armour Abilities in Reach still haven’t shut up about it.

And you my friend have proved why Reach went to -Yoink-, the COMPLAINERS! Everyone needs to calm down and we all need to remember that anything in Halo 4 can change at nearly any time. Thank you for proving one my points though.

No Joke we all need slow down and really think think THINK about all this through.
If we had more to go on, we probably could think better. But after 9 months of waiting and getting this information, it’s tricky. Thankfully it can change, but we’re getting closer to release each day.

Sadly the video game community has a talent for these sorts of arguments. Personally I think it is likely because of how personal we find the experience of playing a video game that some players refuse to accept they don’t like a certain aspect of the game, instead they assert that feature of the game is a mistake.
Absolutely, the game hasn’t been released yet - all we got was a 4 minute vid with some footage and pictures of things in the game, as well as developers talking about it. We have not got the game yet, can we leave the whining until the game is out and people can see for sure what they don’t like?

Exactly! And I also admit at first when I heard about the perks thing I was angry and scared. But I calmed down, did some research, and assessed the situation. But I get when you make an emotional connection to a game I’ve done that with both Halo and AC. But the only problem I have is apparent lack of a BETA! All in all I’m with you 100% on this.
