Please 343i ad spawn protection, swat and snipers need it, because the game is turning into a spawn killing arena, I lost many times because the enemy team knows where are the spawns zones and start to camp in a perfect place, killing with a headshot very fast, play swat/snipers in maps like guillotine or Pegasus 2 is boring due the spawn killing
For Swat and Snipers, I understand. Absolutely not anywhere else though, spawn prediction is incredibly important to high level halo.
Whats the point of playing 1 headshot kill game mode if there is gonna be spawn protection… totally beats the purpose IMO. Spawn prediction has been and always will be an important concept which gives teams upper hand in games
It’s not far then to the person who is not the one waiting to respawn.
I Spawn sometimes and get the jump on other people, it wouldn’t be fair if I Spawned in and the other guy shot me first but I killed him because of spawn protection.
Better spawn system in which there is no way to get spawn killed would be more acceptable in my opinion. Or maybe better map layouts. I dont think spawn protection is they way to go.
In my opinion at least.
How about this:
Everytime you respawn, your character will have a very short overshield - that lasts long enough - to protect you from getting spawnkilled in SWAT or Snipers.
I think if the spawn rules on how they work behaved the way it used to be stated it wouldn’t be so bad.
In no way should you spawn right next to an enemy, spawn in an area being bombarded, or spawn in the same place more than once, or spawn where you died.
I once had an enemy spawn exactly where I was at that the game force me to a different position to make room for them. My back was right up against a wall and I got forced forward and then whacked in the back.
I think warzone assault should have spawn protection just like invasion.
I dont agree with it being essential to high level play cause it just seems imbalanced. It’s not difficult to snipe some one who has just spawned.

3 seconds of spawn protection is enough,… or you are one of these campers?

What about the temporary overshield you get for reviving a teammate in the campaign?
I was rereading what I wrote I’m going to try and make the 1st part more clear. I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately my brain feels like its malfunction. I’ve been thinking a word but then forgot to type it thinking I had done.
edit scratch that I didn’t miss type it but I miss read my own words. I’m so confused.
i would rather they edit the spawns on maps with issues vs adding a spawn in protection
Spawn killing is nothing new. Spawn, rotate. Learn the spawns. Put fire down, rotate.
Maybe they can create maps with spawns with protected, instead of editing the current ones. I like the way it is.

There are some maps in COD I can’t play with my friend, he memories the map completely and it’s an absolute pain to fight him there.
My point being, I would understand people getting upset by things like this if they are not playing competitively.

I couldn’t agree more with this. It should at least 2.5 seconds.
Can’t agree to that. The solution is to have a better spawn system and better placements. Giving spawn protection just lets you then get away with shooting the guy who can’t hurt you.
like frost said: spawn control (not spawn killing) has always been a part of halos play. Spawn control shows and rewards those who know the map and are able to hold you to where they want you to spawn, the better team will prevent that from happening to them or break out of it if they’re really good enough.
halo 5s spawns overall are just awful. I have clips of spawning off maps, inside objects, one game of btb where one player from the opposite team spawned right in front of my entire team at the start of the game(he got annihilated if you’re wondering), inside warzone vehicle spawns, the list can go on.

Okay? So why don’t you learn where the enemy team spawns and do the same thing back at them? You’re basically saying it’s not fair that they took the time to learn spawns and they beat you because of this, which is another way of saying you don’t want to take the time or put forth the effort to learn map control of spawn positions.

you can place spawn protection in a game without destroying those elements. Gears balanced it pretty well. 3-4 seconds of protection that immediately disappears upon you shooting. Same premise can be applied to Halo 5. 2 seconds or so to get your bearings and then you may die unless you shoot before it expires.
I say this as well because from what I remember even a year after launch Halo 5’s spawns were pretty terrible and if I know 343 they didn’t bother to fix it.
You can call it high level and skill and, to an extent, I agree, but as soon as it turns into immediately taking fire or dying within seconds of spawning it’s a turnoff. It isn’t fun and it isn’t competitive at that point. Reminds me of all the tryhards on coag in Halo 2. Grab the sniper and blow peoples heads off before they could even move.
Then again, if the spawns weren’t awful to begin with it wouldn’t be necessary.
