(Please note that while this may sound more fitting in the recruiting/general discussion sections, I meant for this to be related to Halo 5 file share. So mods, if this doesn’t sound too “Halo 5 related” to you guys, I would like you to move it, as I would like this to be in the most related section. Thanks!)
I know to many, this may not seem like a big deal, because its SUPER rare for people to be combing the highest ranked screenies for something cool or funny. But for some who take the time to make screenshots, and others who try to find these cool pics, they are flooded with Clan Recruiting pictures that are really kinda pointless. I don’t want Halo 5’s file share to become like Halo 4’s file share. Why do they decide to make 10 pictures of guys in tanks and mantises shooting behind the camera just to advertise? Or when they have a guy crouching with a sniper rifle, just to describe 1 guy? I personally dislike this, due to it hiding all the funny screenshots that would be seen easier without them. I usually just go through the Halo 4 file share, and I don’t see a 1:2 ratio of them, but there are still too many. I know that there are many more hanging around TMCC and the past Halo titles.They would have better luck coming here on Waypoint to use the clan recruiting section.
Halo 5 needs to be more organized than that, and while the file share MAY not come out when Halo 5 does, I would want 343i to take time to acknowledge this issue
I’m not saying EVERYONE who uses the file share to advertise is to blame. Its mostly just the same few people who decide to make over 10 pictures in hopes of getting recruits. I don’t see how making multiple pictures to advertise is going to help, as anyone who would actually want to join the clan would’ve looked into the 1st screenshot found, and those who don’t would be able to keep going through pictures.
But what can we do about this? Well, my idea is, we can get subsections of screenshots, in which people choose which section to put their pic in when they upload one to the file share. We get a subsection named recruiting, for those wierd pics of people running and shooting while promoting their clan, and others for a variety of other pictures, including funny and awesome pictures of explosions. This is one of the only ways I could see to get around it. Now, if someone put a picture in the wrong section (A recruitment pic inside awesome/funny sections, they are warned and the picture is taken down. If one does that too much, then they are temporarily or permanently banned from the screenshot fileshare.

Tl:Dr- People need to realise that the file share is not the right place to advertise, specifically pictures.
I would like to note that I am in no way attacking anyone who may have done this. I would just like to let them know that there is an easier way, and we don’t want others to waste their time making pics while they could be on here recruiting
