After I heard Grifball would be leaving Arena Matchmaking, I decided I should bring this up.
Social Playlists should be permanent. Modes such as Warzone Turbo, Fiesta and Super Fiesta, Grifball should be permanently in game, and not just appearing on special occasions.
Halo 5 has become a little bit too competitive, which makes it less fun for lots of people. Social Playlists can help make Halo less stressful, and more fun for those who hate being pressured to be good 24/7.
I agree so much with you!
Griffball should be competitive for a season once it comes back
I just want Super Fiesta back!!
Well I think the biggest issue is they need to have one minus K/D which might tone down the super competitive mlg kids that people always complain about.
I agree in principle. But the problem is that they track stats, win/loss, commendations, etc. For us to have truly social playlists, they would need to make nothing obtainable in it. Then there would be a difference. But as it is now, games vary so much in social. Comically fun to exactly what ranked is.

This person speaks great truth.
But in a way you got to have some way to divide say a Kampy, Vetoed, Snipedown from a kid with 2 left hands that can’t hit the broad side of a barn with a rocket launcher

Definitely
Considering how we were supposed to already be receiving a permanent social playlist in this article, I wish 343 would stay on their word for such a playlist, even if stats will still be recorded during those games.

Keep in mind that Grifball won’t be removed at this point as confirmed from reddit posts of 343 after the MoR livestream. That will only happen when the game mode reaches a low population.
I like how 343 is fine with just giving us BTB, Infection, and Grifball for social playlists.
How about they actually put in social slayer, social CTF, social Oddball, etc. (and they should keep it for longer than a week)

That is what makes playlists competitive, if people can’t pad their KD(A) and stats, then they will have no reason to go all out of their way to completely bash you.

Agreed. I really want to see a Social FFA playlist. Like this:
Rumble Pit
8-Player Social FFA with all Forge maps, specifically tailored for 8-Player Free-For-All, like Big Team Battle. Normal Arena maps are too small for eight players, and generally don’t play well with FFA. Would include Rumble Slayer, Rumble Fiesta, Oddball, and King of the Hill with AR/Magnum starts and 30m Motion Tracker range.

That is completely reasonable, and simply removing ranks of a game mode doesn’t make it social. My friend cannot find a game in BTB at all (even with expanded search preferences) because of how good he was in the game mode, and within the beginning of halo 5, he reached champion rank. But whenever he switches to the 2nd account, he finds games instantly. Honestly, these “social playlists” need reworking because the game still seems takes your skill into account within those games. I’m really wishing for such a social playlist because of exposure to community game modes, as explained in my linked article.
