We need our own DEDICATED SERVER SOFTWARE!! We Had It With Halo Combat Evolved and With Halo 2. SO WHY DON’T WE HAVE OUR OWN DEDICATED SERVER SOFTWARE FOR HALO INFINITE? Those IMHO those Microsoft Azures Are Not All That Reliable For Halo Infinite!

Why would they give a premium feature to a free game? This is why free is the wrong way to go about it because they will give you the least amount possible to gain the most amount of money
It was free with Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2. Too be honest I don’t care if it’s free or if I have to pay for it.

Or lease it to some of these Game Hosting Companies like other games do so we don’t have to rely on those Microsoft Azure Servers!

It’s not a free game. It’s funded by the consumer like all the other models.
Regaurdless of how you spin they will not release a feature like that if you doesn’t gain them money. The game is designed around the store. Every update is going to push you to buy something in one way or another
So maybe you’ll want them to put the prices up in the store so you’ll be able to get all the features that you desire.
I wish we had this stuff for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.
Microsoft literally made public dedicated server software for Halo 5 custom games but restricted it to only work for Xbox consoles using LAN because it’s only meant for tournament play.
Valve made it work for their games. CS:GO is a free to play game and there are still plenty of player-hosted servers for it. It didn’t start as a free to play game but I think it has been free to play for over half the game’s life span now.
Or release paid multiplayer to pay for the features
Well I guess we will find out. I have NEVER bought any extras to ANY GAME. Example: I bought Battlefield 2042. They have a lot of thing you can buy for the game. There is no way in hell I would buy anything extra. When I pay for a game that is all I pay for,. No skins not custom crap at all!

The reason most people liked halo 2 was ‘cause it was a simple design that was hard. Not forgetting at the end you got to drive a warthog off something that was about to explode!

Campaigns since halo2 have been easy… so who cares about the campaign.
The drama isn’t walking down corridors pressing buttons. It’s shooting the aliens.
Halo 2 had a ranking system so does infinite. It’s just needs the playlists and the majority of people will then be happy.
