No. We’ve been there, done that. Some maps will never get played. The map rotation works well if you don’t restart matchmaking.
I’ve made some maps way back in the day. Lost a good chunk because they weren’t on my file share.
I’d be happy to make more if i knew how to submit them and would hope they could get added in to matchmaking.
As for the voting system, that was a mistake to begin with. 3 choices but it comes down to what the majority wants to play, not what you want to play.
If they do add this, a one time veto that would skip the first choice and the second choice would be played.
Voting never really worked, people just voted the same maps over and over again in Reach.
However, the veto system from Halo 3 would be a nice compromise.
if the community was always picking the “funner” maps and game modes i dont see a problem with playing the same maps, most of the maps not getting voted for the community decided long ago they dint enjoy them so the majority was voting for the “funner” maps. Voting only effects your lobby so if u wanna vote for what you think is “funner” you get that chance to pick and not forced to play something you dont every game.
I would rather see a h3 styled vetoing system actually.
The veto system is far better. Keeps you from playing the same maps again and again, but still gives the group a “get out of jail free” card if no one wants a selection.
BTB new maps? maybe but not really in a rush to need new ones in Reach.
Also veto system should never return. Glad it’s good, well good riddens to it since it’s just as bad as the vote system. Rather play the maps instead of a certain percentage demanding what maps/game-types I’m allowed to play…it’s part of the reason I’m glad I can finally choose what game-type and Halo ‘game’ I want without being forced to play modes like ‘slayer’ or ‘Valhalla’ all the time.
BTB needs new maps
We need the original killer Halo Reach forged BTB maps to be added back into rotation. It would really improve the overall play-ability of the playlist.
