We Need More Use Of Weapon Skins

How about if you pick up a gun it changes to your weapon skin

Nah. I like picking up other people’s guns on the battlefield. It’s interesting to me.

I’ve thought a bit about this myself, and I think it would be really cool to pick up a weapon off the ground, then see a cool animation as it switches to your skin for that particular weapon. Since War Games is canonically a simulation, this could work.

We could compromise. What if only map weapons changed skins when you picked them up?

not to be mean but i suggest learning atleast a little about coding first because your suggestion(which ive seen before and said the same thing too) that would put alot of stress on the game especially in warzone but it would still be a bad impact in arena too

It would be nice if they had a submit your skin competition or something of the like for user generated content.

How?

Battlefield 4 basically does the same thing, and the skins just pop right in. (Notably with vehicles). If the game can handle 24 players in a single match with AI thrown right in the middle with no input delay, then I don’t see how this addition would add “stress”.

Not to be mean myself, but I would suggest that you would follow your own suggestion, as it has been done before with no issues in environments with more than double the players, Frostbite or the Halo Engine nonwithstanding.

different games use different engines, maybe halo 5s engine cant handle it. maybe in halo 6 but i see absolutely no reason at all why 343 would do this

Wouldn’t really make much sense to me. And what would the point of it be anyway?

I don’t think changing other players guns you pick up should happen but when you pick up a newly spawned map weapon in Arena it should be with your skins. Otherwise for people that don’t play Warzone much skins are worthless.

I would like to see map generated weapons change for SMG and the like. I hate having to use the default when I know I have other skins that I grind for.

It would be cool. Do you really need more justification than that?

I just wish I could see my DMR skin more often

DMR SWAT should remedy this a bit I guess. It would mean all loadout weapons have an arena mode where you can use the weapon skins.

I’d rather they focus on adding weapon skins that actually fit the universe instead of random stuff like the pizza skin and those awful colored blotches.
