If they want to bring a significant enough audience back to the game, then no, it’s maps. Desync and server filtering are certainly important, but those are things that casual audiences really do not care about. Maps and modes are what bring in the players. Quality of life fixes like what you’re talking about keep them interested.
Team double is aproaching and they are only like 2 real 2v2 maps aquarius and live fire … we really need those forge maps right about now like they have not show us nothing to keep us playing this game can they atleast
Give us on july a couple off forge maps made by them or the comunity … like a pit , adrift , guardians and more ??? So we can atleast have a first look on what to come with forge … before the beta drops ?
I feel there have been some great additions in the past but they’re going to have to promote this properly. Get proposed maps on file share and get the community to test them, report bugs etc, release them with a 343 map.
I appreciate getting the community to do stuff is essentially palming off what 343i should be doing by themselves…but lets be honest. They would simply take too long to implement a significant quantity of good maps and this was always one of the great bonuses of forged content.
I want forge contests, community votes, limited community beta playlists and votes for favourites.
The community has alot to say - so bring them in to help. This is the sort of thing that would repopulate the game.
Sure, maps and modes are very important. I know lot of people that want firefight and warzone back. But most of my Halo 5 friends left Halo Infinite because of lag and desync.
So an Avalanche remake that’s fairly far along does exist in game files.
However, this doesn’t mean it’s coming. It just means it exists in the files. For all we know, 343 could’ve decided it failed to meet their playtesting standards and a dev never bothered to remove it. Keep your skepticism high so you don’t get burned later. On the bright side though, someone will undoubtedly make an Avalanche remake in forge.
Strongly disagree, yes those are huge things that are a top priority but without content the games gonna keep losing ppl. The game is playable even with desync so many others would rather play on tons of new maps and modes instead of getting nothing.
Forge I think should be the highest priority, adds the opportunity of new maps and new game modes. Will allow for different playlists to be created ex dominion, ricochet, griffball, infection and more. It also allows custom games to thrive more especially with sbmm being an issue right now.
Forge allows way more options than just fixing desync and a custom game browser
On this i agree 100% with you. Forge is a must and should have also very high priority.
I bought the campaign and would love to have finally the co-op expansion. But i would rather wait another 6 month on the co-op expansion, when this would mean that forge would be faster available. Even if i dont use forge, because im not that patient to biuld new maps.
But if im asked: “New maps” or “Desync Fix and Server Selection” then its “Desync Fix and Server Selection”.
I think its true that people left already Halo Infinite because there is no PVE mode and lack of new maps.
But a lot of people left Halo Infinite because of lag, desync, problem with hit registration.
I dont have any numbers, so i dont know how many people left because of lag or lack of new maps / new modes.
Sure, new maps and new modes would bring back more people back to Halo Infinite. But how long would this people stay with the current state of desync and lag?
Well you have to also take into account that most ppl that left were new players. Maybe even some were halo fans that have been fed up since halo 4 and gave infinite a chance. But my point is that most left because of “lack of content” and not because of desync or server browser. I mean you can’t even have a server browser without forge first. If they launched it earlier than forge then all your playing is basic maps and slightly tweaked settings.
But yeah ppl leave because there is no reply value. I personally don’t think what you’ve mentioned adds anything to the table that new or casual fans care about. Most new players don’t even know what those things are. Yeah sure they might see it from time to time but the game is playable.
I do agree it should be up there on the list of priorities but it’s not the top like content stuff. Forge should be number one along with dev maps, vehicles, weapons, modes and playlists. Those are what truly matter imo. But I agree slightly with you.
Lack of maps is my biggest issue with Infinite right now. As a Series X owner who’s within a few hours of an MS data center, my general experience is a lot better than most people online seem to communicate.
Good gosh we need more maps. H5 ended Warzone with what, 6 maps? I’m worried BTB is headed for thre same fate
Even having weather and time variants of current maps would go a long way. Really missing snow maps. Fragmentation or high power in the rain would be interesting.
